These are marble rocks and often granite stone generally used for making mortar and pestle to grind spices of different kinds and also efficiently used for making chutni( sauce) and the thing with triangle tops you've asked is locally known as sill -batta which is compound word consists of sill means flat stone made structure and batta means pestle which is also use for making chutni you can search about that thing on KZread there's lot of material
