I learned the alphabet by Quan Chi by just playing this game.

Man MK4's announcer was the best in the series and it's Quan Chi himself. I miss it when Mortal Kombat games had this intimidating horror vibe and MK4 had it best imo with the announcer. Man i remember being so scared playing this game when I was little lol.

Yes, it is Quan Chi in MK4; if you ever see any of the MK4 arcade endings, this is unmistakeably Quan Chi's voice.

I couldn’t believe that Quan Chi was announcing many Mortal Kombat games all along.

@mk3395, Quan Chi is the voice announcer for this game. (See cutscenes on MK4 with him in, and you can easily tell) It couldnt be Kahn because he was thought to be dead during this time (he went into hiding to heal from his wounds)

@MortalKombatVanquish Actually this is supposed to be Shinnok, all annoucers for MK games are the finally bosses. MK1-Shang Tsung, MK II-Trilogy Shao Kahn, MK4 Shinnok, Deadly Alliance Quan Chi, Deception Onaga, so on. Even though it is probably the same voice actor lol for quan chi for this
