@@raycutler2524 all versions of shao kahn got nothing but L's. The amount of disrespect towards him was astonishing. I mean, its the main boss of the franchaise, the one and only conqueror that taunts you while beating your ass. To make him lose to even someone like reptile is just insane

This was the best story mode NRS has done since they rebranded from Midway. Ending felt a little rushed but like dude. Shang Tsung was so GOAT’d in this story mode. His voice and physical (did they mocap for this?) acting was magnetic. Stole most scenes he was in.

Are you serious? This story mode was the shitties MK ever had, even worse than MKX and MK11. All characters are either completely good or completely evil without any motivation, all villains are nerfed so much it's blasphemous, especially Shao who never had been worse both by design and story. They all incompetent bafoons who didn't win any battle entire story mode. Tournament is completely irrelevant to the story, you can cut off the entire first hour of the game and you will lose nothing important. Overusing Shang Tsung again was just a horrible and the most boring decision they could've come up with. No final boss. And this whole multidimensional bullshit with dozens of copies of every single character is just painful to observe. You have awfully bad taste if you somehow enjoy this.

I find it really funny this is THIRD GAME IN A ROW where we’ve seen Shang Tsung steal Shao Kahn’s soul. He did it indirectly in Ermac’s X ending when he stole all of the souls in Ermac, did it directly in 11, and now to the literal only version of Shao in this game referred to as Shao Kahn in this game. Bro is holding a fucking grudge for that one time Shao used him as a powerup for Sindel in 9.

Give me explanation of how from that, you came up to a canon nerf in his power. If the storyline came up and said liu kang nerfed shao kahn in power, then it would be ok. But just making him a punching bag out of the blue is bad writing

@@WhiteRangerTP When geras shows up for the first time he states 3 things, that liu kang "made him" as it did with all things in this time line (means he created both shang tsung and shao as well as the rest) after that he reports that one of the enemies that is being monitored is challenging his purpose (meaning there are more) and then he states that event if shang is weakened he is plotting something, saying specifically the destiny you made for him, this means that he made Shangs fate to be nothing more than a con man, but later it is reiterated a few times even by the OG shang tsung, with this geras told us that liu kang reduced the abilities of his enemys. So yeah the whole context of that conversation was to stablished that liu kang molded the fate of everyone and ws checking for any that altered its own fate this includes Shao and this means he was altered beyond just being a khan

That Rain is quite awesome tho.

I do think it would have been smart to keep General Shao around for future games Still overall loved this game, big props to Shag Tsung’s VA

I really like young Shang Tsung in this game especially as the main villain, young humble raider is cool too, but I was hoping king Lao would have been the mk tournament winner
