Kotal was one of the more interesting characters from the new timeline. He seemed noble and even fair, especially compared to Shao Kahn, but still brutal and demanding in his desire to protect Outworld. You could see how the demands of Kombat and paranoia were slowly turning him into a tyrant, no matter how hard he fought it. I especially love the scene when he abdicates to Kitana for doing what he could not: uniting Outworld rather than ruling. Kind of hope he makes an appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 somehow, even if he's not playable.

I was so irritated when they nerfed Shao Kahn in MK 11. But they did rectify that in Aftermath. And I appreciated that.

6:26 Liu Kang literally just came out of no where and kicked Shao Khan multiple times using his bicycle kick technique which is hilarious and he got Shao Khan down to his knees too.

I didn’t really like him at first in MKX and then when he was first introduced in MK11 I started liking him and then he did some things that make him look like budget Shao Kahn which is not what I think they were going for and then he got crippled which made his character more likable and then I started liking him and then something stupid happened to him and then I started liking him again and then he died.

I think that fighting Kotal and Shao was great choice.. Thanks for uploading it!

Honestly this scene makes me hope for a moment like this if the new mortal kombat movie is the first in a trilogy. Get them to outworld, in the arena, with the majority of the cast crossing paths. One side good the other evil, and then they charge at each other. Plus, they should play the classic mortal kombat theme during it as well. That would make my life complete

Those present demi God's are replaced by their past self. That includes present Raiden, Fujin and the other 3 unnamed elemental God's. All are replaced by their past selves.

Kotal Kahn seemed powerful, mighty in MK 10 taking the throne from Mileena, killing Goro and even getting his hands on Shinok's Amulet. In MK 11 he gotta his ass kicked, spine broken, and head severed by the epic failure Shao Kahn lol!

But will they apologize for nerfing down the Cage family later on in MK12? I don’t like how Aftermath treats them irrelevant. Plus, Cassie and her old man defeated Shinnok.

Full power Raiden defeated Shinnok, hence why Shinnok was imprisoned in the first place and why Reptile's species was almost annihilated. Raiden needed the power of the elder gods to beat Shao Kahn in MK9, putting Shao Kahn above any single elder god. Even of Cage and Cassie was able to activate their green aura, which only activates against deities according to Cassie, they would have lost.
