Reiko's loyalty to Shao is really something else. Half of his dialogues praising Shao and other half is basically "Outworld >> Earthrealm"

considering this new timeline where Reiko's an orphan and Shao found him. And saw potential. It's clear why he's loyal, Shao gave him purpose. Also Reiko being an orphan of war is bewildered when asking Bi-Han if Sub-Zero left his father and grandmaster to die.

Reiko IS loyal, he’s loyal to his family, which is Shao. Like the comment said above me, he can’t understand betraying your own family. Reiko believes that he is in the right, and he doesn’t consider himself a “traitor” in that sense.

One thing I do like about this is that Reiko and maybe even Shao think they are doing the right and just thing,, they are extremists who wanna liberate their realm. Bi-Han is an egotist who won't cross any line to meet his ends I mean even in his round win lines, Reiko tells the other fighter to flee and judges havik for flooding a city, the guy is more of a misguided extremist rather than pure evil

Reiko’s character has so much damned conviction. It’s admirable. Reiko, Shao and Bi-han just have that THING about them in this game. Passion, desire, conviction. You dont normally see it.

Like a sailor standing on the deck of his ship, who takes a deep smell of the sea air and feels the sunlight. I think it's just a way of showing Reiko lives and breathes on the battlegrounds. The dirt and blood that stain them. He probably enjoys the smell of war.

I love how Reiko is this Ruthless Warrior ready for Blood and War, this Mini Shao Kahn with MK3 Shang Tsung Eye War Paint is more of Shao’s True Heir than Kitana, Mileena, or even Skarlet that will Terminate and Sacrifice his Life for his suppose Father Figure and Hero, Reiko is 100% Accurate to his Personality with a New Lore and it might hint of Blood Magic and the Dragon King.

Shao and Reiko's "My Country Right or Wrong" mentality is commendable. Too bad it's meaning got twisted by Shang's words and turned into a misguided crusade. Also, Derek Philips performance as Reiko is amazing. Kudos for sounding like MICHAEL MADSEN

One thing about this Reiko is that he’s loyal to General Shao and his rule, consistently ruthless and bloodthirsty, and is willing to die for his beliefs.

Reiko is awesome in this game, exceeded expectations

I'm not full-up on MK lore so Reiko used to just feel like a throwaway character, but here he seems so fleshed out! One of my favourites now! In my top 10 somewhere. And I love the fact that I can understand his perspective, even if it's warped. Having only ever known soldiering, he cannot fathom "equality" because chains of command depend on stratification, so he sees Earthrealm's "equal" partnership as a ruse to manipulate into submission, and Shao and Shang Tsung have nurtured and manipulated this line of thinking. It may be warped and inaccurate, but it still makes sense.

@@TheSSBBfan666 He could appreciate the antics of Greek Krate (up until he destroyed his realm and left it **might be aghast he let something like the familicide set-up wreck his relationship with Ares**), but Norse? Either way, the former Spartan wouldn't be good company. The latter would disapprove (and vice versa), but the original is quick to murder (even without provocation). These days, if he was a return case, it would be his 'Nu' self for sure. NOTE: Though if it were revealed Shao killed Reiko's parents before raising him, that has a small chance of moving him. Plenty of stories like that.

He may be a villain in a way but at the same time him and Shao are in truth just worried that they might get conquered and destroyed and want to prove they have strength and fangs, I wouldn’t say he is in the right but at the same time he wants outworld safe even in a blinded kind of way. Seems like their may be some intros missing. In one of the intros with General Shao he described Reiko as a “beloved son”.

I always liked Reiko as far back as 4. For the longest time I thought he was going to be revealed to be a bastard son of Shao Kahn. Sadly that never happened.
