just had a magical experience in a hot lavender infused bath while burning a candle and listening to this in the dark. highly recommend.
The Madame Germen vibes are really strong. Fantastic album.
"The Quiet Earth". A masterpiece. Magnificent musicianship, composition, vocals, and of course, the exquisitely superb poetic science of the world's most passionately lyrical empathic one, himself. Alex, Dave, Liam, José, Gerfried, Alastair, Mikey, Kelly, and Thomas, you have gifted, uplifted, invigorated, motivated, enlightened and emotionally nourished all of we hearers and touchers of infinity's subtle but raw tragedy, reality, and futility. Aspirations well pursued and surpassed, comrades! Goals reached, magnificently! The quiet earth enthroned and exalted ferociously, devoutly, decisively, uncompromisingly, boldly, wisely, bravely, and benevolently! "The Quiet Earth". Unequivocally extraordinary. Singularly majestic. Inimitable. A masterpiece.
My album of the year. So incredible. It’s a thrilling record.
Holy shit, one of the best albums i have ever listen in my entire life
A masterpiece sadly underrated.

Thanks for this. It's been a long time since I have heard something and instantly went to looking up information on a band. Cheers!

This is amazing! Deserves much more praise.
Cara isso é muito lindo .. parabéns. Vida longa.
Reminds me of blacken the skies. Good stuff
unbelievably good
I like this album although I'd like to have access to each individual track so I can showcase it on playlists. That way I can share it with others.
огонь
Fuck. That's good.
I'm a bit puzzled by the production sounding way more digital and modern than the previous projects (I don't mean that as a bad thing, it's just that I was used to something more organic and raw), but this is pretty solid so far. I love the mix of influences.

Hello! We used all the same techniques for this one as the others so I really have no idea!

@@daverobinson1547 Hey Dave, thanks for the comment! I truly don't mean that as a bad thing. Probably what sticks out the most is the drum sound, which sounds either triggered or an electric kit and contrasts a lot to the more organic feel and sound of previous albums. And considering how difficult tracking drums is, how absolutely everything got much harder to deal with during the pandemic and the fact the band is geographically scattered, I can''t blame you at all. Sorry if I came out like an asshole. The extreme music scene is already filled with too much negativity and it's not going to help it grow in any way Take care and stay safe!

@@deadmanwithpitchforkarms8376 no worries at all! Love hearing how it sounds to different people, as it's hard to tell when you're in the middle of it - we used all the same gear as before; same drum kit, same mics, same studio etc, but sometimes it just comes out different! There's no triggers on the drums, and the mistakes are still in there - maybe there's a bit more top end on the kick drum, I'd love for the next album to have more room sound, a bit more boomy & raw - stick around a few years and let's see how it comes out 😂

Yeah we didn't trigger, went a bit punchier than previously I guess :)
Sludge/Doom/Neocrust/Post Metal
Wow, this instantly reminded me of Wormwood, from Seattle not the new one. I mean BIG TIME. This is more hardcore though and Wormwood had no guitars. Very similar though.
this little rabbit is hopping down on the old bunny trail
Just tell me where to transfer money to, so you make more. This shit is supreme.
full auto repeat mode ON
fetzt
this isnt neocrust . its just melodic hardcore. its completely stripped of all details that makes crust crust.

STFU... seriously... Because of opinions like yours, rock as a genre, has been stagnant for 20 years

It's music. Elitists who just listen to one or two genres and put weight on that like ''I don't listen to this or that because its pop/not real black metal (or whatever)'' are smelly bitter nerds with a low iq 99% of the time
