For me, his greatest statement here is about pop stars and personalities just going through the motions. They do what is expected and never take it right to the line. Popular music is so weak right now. Makes you long for Morrissey and the Smiths. While he can be contentious as well as charming, we'll still be talking about Morrissey in 100 years. @@themaelstromnotebook5418 Morrissey is misunderstood to be this dark and unempathetic guy who hates people. Not at all. He loves animals to death and i assume he doesn't like people because people always tend to betray in the beginning or towards the end of a relationship. People also lack the simplest of considerations, which animals are abundant in. There is a lot that an animal has that any person with the greatest of glamour will never have: Humility and consideration. People are easily distracted and disenchanted by other people, it's a running wheel. Morrissey seems to understand that and gives ZERO fucks about it. He lives for himself.

At the end of the Morrissey interview i bet these muppets couldn't quite work out what had just happened to them. I love this man.
“no I don’t feel any responsibility “ 😂
The legend that is Morrissey. Bluntly honest, yet always somehow elusive. An interviewer's dream and nightare rolled into one! His name will be alongside Oscar Wilde and William Blake. This man is a poet in a sea of salesmen.
Class, so many points to take away "i didnt want to work" then - "i dont feel any responsibility" hahaha - "therefore, why sympathise with them?" hahahaha fucking love him

Morrissey is in a completely different place mentally and spiritually, that's why it's so jarring to see him sitting next to these clueless individuals (if we can call them that).
They were pushing the wage slave paradigm. I probably don't agree with Morrissey on most things, but it isn't good to just go along with worldly tradition and not question it. As image-bearers of God, it is better to create than consume.
"We're all in trouble for one reason or another" ..sums up current culture, cancel culture, the new puritanism.

Well he's definitely not sold out, he's true to what he's always been.
