I really love this song. I blast it as I'm driving home from work. I especially love "I see no point in being nice." and "open up your nervous mouth".. I have a big problem with being self-conscious and speaking up, both for myself and about issues I care about. I'm terrified of conflict, awkwardness, or making people mad.. I need to take a page from Morrissey's book. He's never given a f, he just says what he thinks, confident he's right and who cares about the jerks who will dislike or disagree with him?

My favorite song on the album. Makes me feel like I’m at a beach party in 1963

He is really calling out the failures of the world. Nothing is getting better and the masses are caught in a sanitized discourse of we are alright. We aren't alright we are on fire and no one is listening to each other .Morrissey is a real poet making us think and uncomfortable. Great art is supposed to wake us up and shack the shit off the walls .

Morrissey is one of the best lyricist of all time.

Poor album with some GREAT standouts. This and what kind of people are my 2 faves. Knockabout World is a standout too. I just feel this album as a whole really missed the mark.

@@Peggsworth I think Jim Jim Falls, Once I Saw the River Clean and Darling I Hug Pillow are also very good Moz songs. Also, The Secret of Music is an experimental track reminding me of Southpaw Grammar.

Thank you for helping me to keep my spirit strong enough not to lose the leftovers of my faith in humanity. Sometimes it's so hard for me to bear the insanity of this world that has gone full circus-mode lately, but then witnessing some little kindness or listening to a good song helps me get back to a more playful view on the theater of life and keep on for all the good things. And then i laugh at myself for being so vulnerable and human.

That's the punkest thing I've heard in ages.

The musicianship of the people Morrissey works with is stellar. He finds the ones that interpret him well, as well as it was with Marr.

Ralph S. Ginsberg There can't be free speech, particularly for public figures. Morrissey will pay for it in declining album and ticket sales. And fewer people will want to work with him. I can't imagine what he thinks he's doing. He's either foolish or insane.

The album was absolutely banging, fantastic! First time listening to it I wasn't really focusing too much on the meanings of the lyrics, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I brought this up because I think a lot of people are rating this album negative because they simply don't like Morrissey and two they're nit picking because the lyrics to them are 'offensive'. I would ask these same people is it not worse to be trying to smear someone and get everyone to hate you, is it not worse seeing the animal cruelty that goes unpunished over someone giving his political view which doesn't align to your thinking? Get over yourself, not everyone has to agree with you. The album was fantastic, I really started to like it more as I studied the lyrics more which brought a bit of a laugh with some of the things that are being said. This album was a massive upgrade over the last one.

@@thejoin4687I agree, the arrangement on that track is very Bond esque, if there is a checklist for what a Bond theme should sound like that's it. A few other songs like 'All you need is me' or 'Angel Angel down we go together' also hit a few checkmarks for me.
