He was really asking if Moroccan people are ok with a Jewish state. He wants people to support Israel and having a majority Jewish population. That was his real question that people didn't understand. He got very defensive. I am not a fan of Muslims but I think he was being very dishonest.

This is enough evidence to know who the biggest threat is.

And I noticed it stops being like that when we're talking about immigrants from Africa or the Middle East but once a white guy commits a crime or do a mass shooting in a mosque like what happened in NZ then it's an individual act. But if a Moroccan did a bad thing then it's Moroccans fault, if they did an achievement then they're not Moroccan anymore they're a European citizen or resident and have nothing to do with Morocco. I hope you see the double standards.

I don’t think it’s lost. Historically, Jews have always lived around the whole of Mediterranean Sea, interacting with other peoples. Restoration of Israel has been a traumatic experience to the Jews and Arabs, but that will pass. It’s only been 75 years, which on the scale of the Middle East is nothing. Once the dust settles, I think things will fall back to their natural order, only in modern reality. Which means re-emergence of bustling and thriving Jewish communities around this eternal sea.

This question is worded weirdly, mainly because of the word "expect". Does Corey mean "Do you want Moroccan jews to come back?" or does he mean "Is it okay for Moroccan jews to come back?" or "Do you think it is likely they will come back?" or "Do you think they want to come back?", all interpretations with potentially very different answers. The "expect" word has ambiguous meaning and hence the interviewees just guessed at what Corey was implying. They mainly interpreted the question as, "Is it okay for the Morrocan Jews to come back", which i think is the straighforward question that he should have asked. Also, Corey seemed fixated on the idea that all Moroccan Jews want to stay in Israel, but forgot that there are hundreds of thousands of Moroccan Jews OUTSIDE Israel too, mainly in France, UK, Canada, United States, Spain, Portugal and even still a few in Morocco

This is the Moroccan exceptionalism to the meaning of being Moroccan, from my perspective, I would love to see Moroccan Israelis, be is zionist or not come and experience this tolerance and even take it back home to Israel and maybe, just maybe help them deal with the Palestinians in better lights and practice compassion regardless

Yes, Moroccans don't have a problem with the jews, for us there is no difference between Muslims and jews we are all Moroccans. However, we think that the establishment of Israel was not fair, and Israel committed massacres and ethnic cleansing since its establishment. We always take the Palestinian side, not because of islam but because of humanity. Even palestiniens were not antisemitic, they actually welcomed the jews in their own homes when the west expelled them for years, but they betrayed them and they stole the country. BTW none of the arab countries is actually arab except for the arab gulf, we just have dialects inspired from arabic that's why they call us the arab world 😅.

In Morocco, we are upper-middle class, we have plenty of space, pretty low taxes, there is no lack of community, access to the beach and plenty of fresh, very cheap seafood. Granted, we do have the option to go to the States whenever we'd like, and a lot of our wealth was made in the US. If we were more observant, Israel would be more appealing, that's for sure. The big question I'd ask Moroccans, is whether they think an escalation of the conflict they have with neighboring Algeria can be averted. As an Israeli, I know that war in the Maghreb would be a consummate disaster for ourselves as well, as we're pretty much engaged, politically and even militarily, on Morocco's side, and we simply can't play the neutrality card like we are regarding the Ruscist aggression in Ukraine. If this happens, we will be obligated to at least pass the ammo, and whatever intel our systems are able to collect thus far from our borders.

unfortunetly our conflict with algeria will never be, as the algerians operate from a place of envy to the moroccan people making their country thrive without any natural resources, theyre trying to split our country i n half to consequently have access to the atlantic sea, which is abig stab in the back to moroccans who refused to draw theur borders with neighbouring algeria after we got our independence and choose to support algerian independence defying france, the king back then in 1954 made a speech in the UN about algeria and the importance of ending their opression only for them to create a polisario front of sahrawi sepratists that never even lived on the land most from mali, and the ewastern sahara... we are closer with jews that we lived with for years than we are with the algerian regime

The war is not possible, the whole conflict is just the Algerian regime posturing and creating a rivalry out of thin air to justify holding to power, they have no intention of actually going to war but would like to keep the status quo, and keep the tensions high at all times, because the threat of a war with morocco justifies keeping the opposition in check and labeling anyone who opposes the regime a traitor, plus the military junta benefits from an arms race as they surely get kickbacks and benefit from corruption

First of all, it is evident that they are really great people. There is undoubtedly much to learn from their kindness here in Israel 😉. Regarding the person's comment at 5:35, it is disheartening that they seem to lack awareness of the situation here. Allow me to clarify: I am currently attending college, and approximately half of the students are Israeli Arabs, who are ordinary citizens just like anyone else. Moreover, let's address their claim that Israel being a Jewish state is somehow problematic. Isn't Morocco a Muslim country? Isn't Switzerland considered a Christian country? It's amusing to me that this person is complaining about Israel being a Jewish state-the only Jewish state in existence-while overlooking the presence of numerous Muslim countries around the world - including the country he himself is in. This land holds a profound significance in the hearts of the Jewish people; it is our only homeland. On the other hand, everyone is welcome here as long as they embrace peace and reject terrorism. Every citizen enjoys full rights and respect. I sincerely hope that we can know each other better and that everyone will genuinely wish the best for one another 😊. Apologies for the lengthiness; there was much to unpack...

Hello, I am moroccan and I do stand with palestinian indeed, but not against israel, only against the government of israel and that's a big difference. I do recognise israel as a state and even the state of the jewish people. However and from what I have seen there are some injustices happening from the israeli government that even israelis must get aware of. That's our standpoint, we dont support some of your governement policies as much as you won't support any other country policy. My solution for the palestinian-israel conflict ? A one state solution called israel under the israelis laws where palestinians are sent to israelis schools and are treated the same as jewish people. No more stupid discussions about a 2 states solutions, no more corruption from the israeli government that will always try to point out palestinians as a thread to israel just to get away with it's corruption..no more terrorism happening and no more fundings for these terrorists. And educate and educate and educate the population of the West bank and gaza. Invest in their education and getting them to became like other israelis..no more islamic fondamentalism, no more hate between jews and arabs. This is not only my opinion but most of moroccans have the same opinion.. we want one state called israel and we want it to treat israelis and palestinians the same and invest in education massively instead of weapons

Being Jewish means attaining the sensation of two contrasting forces in nature, the egoistic force, which is our human nature, and its opposite altruistic force, which is the force of nature itself. The attainment of these two forces define the people who, first under Abraham, developed this sensation of reality. They became known as the people of Israel, and later, as the Jews. At a certain point, around 2.000 years ago, we lost the sensation of the two forces and lived solely in the egoistic force. That is the meaning of being in exile. Exile has no geographic connotations, i.e. that we left some geographic Land of Israel and now we return to it. It is rather a matter of an inner exile, that we do not host the sensation of the altruistic nature, i.e. the quality of love, bestowal and connection, between us. When we fell from this sensation, we then entered our period of exile and ceased to exist as the people of Israel

I completely agree about the countries you mentioned, no reason why they can’t live / go back there. However, what about Algerian, Syrian, Lebanese, Pakistani & Afghan Jews for example. Do you really think they would be welcomed back to their homeland as well..? If people treated them nicer perhaps they could but right now!? 850,000+ Arab Jews & Jews of Muslim lands suffered Nakba too. They matter equally to displaced Palestinians.

@@ThatLondonLady 500,000-700,000 Arabs fled into Arab Countries from Israel and became refugees. 900,000-1,000,000 Jews fled from Arab Countries into Israel and became refugees, their descendants make the majority of Israelis. You don’t hear about the refugees who fled to Israel, Israel has absorbed those incoming refugees, while the Arab countries for the most part did not, they use them as a political tool (a common cause, a unifying topic, a diversion from poverty, poor health care, poor education and corrupt governments). All refugees should get compensation, note however overwhelming majority of Jews were city dwellers, hence their lost property worth is much higher, in addition to them being higher in number, a reason for Arab regimes to object to reparations. Over 100 million people were refugees on the 20th century, they all have moved on, except for those Arabs of Palestine/Israel, who are kept a refugee status by Arab countries, UNRWA and their own political leaders.

moroccans love their fellow moroccan jewish brothers and the reason is very simple . the jewish moroccan community left a very positive impact on moroccan society prior to their migration to israel , so you ll hardly find anyone saying smth bad about jewish moroccans .
