I am an Arab from Yemen n we had Yemenite Jewish neighbors. They were the best neighbors you can have. They were very religous and very respected people, and had class. I sure miss them. Sad that after over 2000 years in Yemen, they are no longer there. 😔

And we that are coming from Sepharad or Ashkenaz think sometimes it's difficult. Yemenites are the most accurate example of ancient Israelites.

They weren’t sopahardic they have their own system, Bardem converting to Sephardic, 1920s in mass thanks to Zionist efforts
Interesting... Yemeni Muslims are also known to be very zealous, genuine and kind hearted.
As a Muslim, I can confirm that Yemen is a great hub for religious knowledge. Great Muslim scholars have come from there like Habib Umar.
Incredible video. I cannot wait to show it to my students! Thank you for creating such a valuable resource!

Amazing devout hard- working ancient community. Such a pity the tradition has come to an end in Yemen! I know there's a thriving yemenite community in Israel but even by the time the first arrivals had children , they were immersed in a programme of a new Israeli identity and modern hebrew, both of which were exclusively Ashkenazi. Yes, there is pride in their yemenite culture , but they have almost totally become absorbed in the official culture . It would be so nice one day if they could return to yemen in peace and safety. I'm Muslim by the way and find Yemeni and mizrahim culture fascinating and at the sane time sad for its demise almost

Really inspiring about learning and obligation.
Amazing history.
Whats the background music name ?
"Rashi" is not "translation" AT ALL. 1:11. It is a commentary.
Luna Lovegood can do this too.
I really hope the Yemeni Jewish theory of education gets picked up by our teachers' colleges. It works very well.

Actually, Zilberman schools use that technique, but in Ashkenazi pronunciation. Rav Ben Tziyon Mutzafi's school in Jerusalem has in Sefaradi pronunciation. There is also a Yemenite school like that in Jerusalem, I think it's Mevo Temon or something similar. As a teacher in Jerusalem, I've noticed that Yemenite kids are better cantors & speakers because of daily practice with their mori as well as reading from the Torah DURING PUBLIC PRAYER at the synagogue as young as age 4 (!!!) and at a later age, maybe 5 onward, publicly reciting Onqelus' Aramaic translation after every Biblical verse read by the Torah reader's reading. Learning happens visually, audio & kinetically which is exactly the way the mori teaches since learners SEE & HEAR the text as well as simultaneously make the HAND MOVEMENTS that dictate the parsing & particular trope chants.
How to respect of believe the rulings of God if he/she is not Jew.. I mean monotheist but Muslim, Mandaean, Yazidi,Druze, Bahai etc. What is there eternity after death and resurrection to the day of Judgment?

Of course there is eternity for those of other faiths. As long as you follow the Seven Laws of Noah and are a good person - you have a place.
