Moroccan Strains with Steve DeAngelo

A similar pattern I see around the globe in the world of cannabis. Is the revolution of cannabis disappearing traditional landrace strains? What do all the growers think?

Awesome, there aren't a lot of videos on landrace strains with decent picture quality. I am looking forward to what you come up with

I wonder how many WWII soldiers tried hash when in Africa? They definitely did in Egypt - together with opium. With the huge number of post-war PTSD cases, I'm sure the Moroccans sensed a market there. The history of the Arab-Berber conflicts is such that probably hash use became accepted for PTSD long ago.

There is only one landrace strain that is cultivated, and that’s bildia. It’s 100% adapted to Morocco. Dry and arid. There are also Pakistani and afghani landrace strains that they brought to Morocco in the 90ies. The beldia is not so powerful but it gets the job done. Everyone in Morocco prefers beldia or kif. Kif is seeded buds that they chop and smoke in pipes. Moroccans don’t like the hybrids so much because it makes them super stoned. Moroccans normally only smokes hybrids during the night. Hybrids are for export. I’m Moroccan with loads of experience from the rif mountains. Don’t be fooled if someone tells you about other Moroccan landrace strains. Because there are none original landrace except for beldia. Beldia has been adapted for hundreds of years. Beldia is the best strain for guerrilla growers, no need to water and no nutrients. Good luck my friend! I miss my country.

Go to chefchoune in September-October. Chefchaoune is very touristic so you blend in good. You can go al year around but September to October is best if you want to see big plants with huge buds.

I would go a bit higher in the mountains than chaouen, it's too touristic there and the locals can be a bit aggressive as soon as they know you are looking for hash. I would follow the road that goes to ketama and stop in one of the villages and discretely ask in a restaurant or tea shop. But its better to have a contact in advance.

there is a place on the countryside up above cheouen, called Kalaa, near the big mosque. You take a special taxi from the station near Hotel Tarik. It cost 10dirham one way and it’s a 7km ride. When you come to Kalaa near the big mosque everything will sort itself.

In my opinion all of these so called high breed strains are garbage. The yields might be a little better than normal. But the high isn't there. I have yet to have any that is a true one hit weed. Or that expands when you hold your hit in. Like some of the weed back in the 70s. But this guy needs to post the balance of this video, for sure.
