Shih-Tzu's are people oriented. They like being with their humans as much as possible. Even while sleeping.

Wayne Edwards I agree. I now regret rehoming mine because he’d sleep with me the first few nights I’d adopted him. None of my other animals did that with me, besides my 3 year dog who did that with only my brother but would scolded by my mom because he was an indoor and outside dog 😂😂

Wayne Edwards my mom plans on getting us a Shitzu or a Maltese (most likely shitzu since Maltese tend to be expensive) for our little sibling’s entertainment. She’s disciplined enough so we won’t have any trouble with that. I’m a bit excited since I’m dealing with emotional and mental problems right now and my previous dog would help me with that. Though, he’d get mad if I tried hugging him when I cried 🗿

My Shi Tzu I just got who is a puppy will refuse to sleep without me cuddling with her, she will just whine

This is her routine with her dogs so don't criticise what other people do. This is what works for her. My shitzu cross Maltese doesn't want to sleep on my bed I've tried and she leaves the room. She sleeps on the lounge with a rug to protect it and she also has a crate which she loves and can use it when she wants. It's there safe haven..... ❤️ Thankyou for sharing the routine.

My Shih Tzu passed away 2 weeks ago she was nearly 16. Such a beautiful breed very loving little girl. She was a house dog never caged. She ruled the house. Miss her so much

I didn't know not sleeping in the bed was an option. Mine will growl if he doesn't have access to your room or bed.

So cute. My little Shih Tzu Truman will not go up stairs or down stairs. He has fallen before and it traumatized him so he just waits for me. I love how well you take care of your babies!

Edward Wright I totally agree with you 😂 my shitzu snoopy loves lying right up against me and I have literally fallen out of my queen size bed on several occasions as when I roll over he just gets up and moves closer. The only time he was in a crate was when he tore his cruiate ligament and he was not happy having spent 10 years sleeping next to me, needless to say we both cried 😢🐶

My pup would use the bathroom in the middle of the night if I let him have freedom during bedtime. But if in his kennel, he is good the whole night.

They're so freaking adorable that I feel like throwing my phone and crying.

My little 9.5 week old Shih Tzu loved watching this video with me. I trust you all continue to do well. About to check out the rest of your videos. Hope to have the great quality video's that you have at some point. Gorgeous pups.....crate training is only way to go. Humans see it as a cage, our dogs see it as as a bedroom and private space. I see it as SAFETY for them and even my home.

I had my little baby Gracie girl Shih tzu from the time she was 7 weeks old till she was 16 years old and had to put her down miss my baby Gracie girl. She was so easy to train I never had to crate her. Best fur baby I ever had 💝

Thanks for allowing me to share your morning with you and your wee friends. They look quite a handful, but in a nice way though. They seem quite happy and secure in their cage and that is what they are used to and what suits you too. Other folks can raise their dogs as they choose and should not cast aspersions if other owners go down a different route that is in no way detrimental to the welfare of the dogs, or indeed the health of the human. They certainly made me smile a lot, which is appreciated because at the moment here in Belfast it is miserable and wet. Thanks again. I wish you rainbows.

Shih tzus are, so adorable, a very good breed of dog. I've had 5 , and one Maltese, They make great friends and super companions. They get spoiled, at least mine were, I only have 2 dogs now, 1 Shih Tzu, & 1 Maltese, as Ive lost my others, they all lived to old ages. I think, if we give them all our love, and care, they can live much longer, than their life expectancy. Mine were 10,,14, 16 and, I7 I now have a10 yr old and a 4 yr old. I loved seeing your morning routine, your Doggies are so sweet ! Always love them much & they will be your best friends for their entire life.

Help me.? I dont want my yorkie in the cage too, but he jumps very high and he'll jump over the play pen to sit on my couch,with all my shoes, i mean he'll go and get find any of my shoes and bring it back to the couch where he sits.how do i deal with that if i dont cage him...

@@mayalee2400, maybe try considering hiding your shoes? Or try discipline the pup By saying no firmly (it only works if they know the word if not then) you could also try getting them a toy they like.

A cage is how u discipline the dog and show them UR the boss or else their just gonna grow up to be a brat also a good way so ur dogs don’t go crazy during the night also the doggies can trash the house

Shih Tzu's were once the sole property of the Emperor of China. They used to sleep at the feet of the emperor to keep his feet warm!

My little shih tsu girl Lexi passed away 2 days ago at 16 years old. I miss her so much already but I know she is in a good place with her friends- I hope to see her again! 🙏❤️🙏 😢

I have had two, both now deceased, but I loved them dearly. I miss them like crazy. I have two other dogs now, but Shih Tzus are the best dogs and the cutest. I love all dogs, but cannot help loving this breed. Yours are such pretty dogs.

Believe me you are so correct. We had a little guy who slipped away in his sleep after 14 years 4 months. The emptyness has at times been overwhelming. They are truly a blessing to the human race.

Our family shih tzu is the baby. He loves attention and whimper to get in bed with us. He's still a puppy so we're waiting for him to get bigger before letting him sleep with us. We do let him fall asleep first on the bed then move him to his bed.

Omigoodness! Your babies are precious. So cute and adorable 💕💕💕 I hope you ignore the ignorant comments of the crate. Some people don't realize that dogs love to sleep in small spaces and some even see crates as a bedroom not a cage. My baby loves his crate and I never have to force him in there.

Just like my Booboo & Oreo but I don't cage them. I made a diy little room for them in our bedroom but at night they just like to cuddle & snuggle with us :)

We have two small ShihTzus, too, plus an 8 pound Poodle. They sleep with us & run free around the house & yard, We have 1.3 acre & our home is 5400 sq feet, so they have lots of room to play.

I have a schnau-tzu and a chiweenie, both of whom sleep in kennels. They seem to be happy with it.

I just happened upon this vid I'm subscribed for life. My moe will b 10 in January. I'm paraplegic & he's my comfort dog. He's my best friend. I love him so much. I knew u would let her take the fish bc I would have lol😉

Shih Tzus are the best dogs ever if trained properly. I am disabled so know how much my two mean to me. They always love us unconditionally, every minute of every day, and most importantly, thru good times & bad. So glad you have one in your life. God Bless you.

I need my space when I go to sleep and my husband occupies plenty of space he's very tall, I don't want to be tense thinking I might roll over my dog bc I move around in bed too much. My husband has to push me away many times. My dogs would be safer away from my bed 😁 and believe me I have loved dogs since my childhood, they wont hold that up against you they love unconditionally as long as they are loved and cared for.

lol. how do you know they are fed up. they were sleeping. theybjsur woke up. my puppy sleeps in a crate he gets in on his own and settles down. I wouldn't care at all to be caged if I'm sleeping anyway.

It's for their own safety and acts as a safe place for them when we were out the house, now they are both 4 and free roam and have done since they were about 1 and a half years old. So don't think for 1 second we keep them in crates all there lives.

Crate training is very important! If God forbid, your pet has to spend ANY amount of time at a vet's office he/she will be put into a crate. If the dog does not understand the crate he will be terrified. Crate train your dog.

My shih tzu Oreo has been my little buddy for 10 years I would never put him in a cage he runs the house and sleeps with me would be lost without him

My pups feel more secure in their den ( kennel/cage) it’s a happy place for doggies

Shih tzu dogs are the best. We only have one but he is our world. We prefer making our own dog treats and food. The only time he is caged is at the groomer’s.

rossconuts Pixie is from a breeder Roxy was not, The family Roxy came from said that it accidently happened and as a result the mum had a litter. But I couldnt not bring her home. We do not isr the crate anymore like you they free roam all the time.

My Shih Tzu Rubi still sleeping on my bed for 15 1/2 yrs. Her son passed away a few month ago , he also slept with me for 13 1/2 yrs. I miss him (Rocky) so much. He was blonde and his mother Rubi is Black boom / white. This video reminds me of them together. 😢😢

To rid your dogs from eye stains give them Purified Water only, most any brand will work...

I have one black and white female shihtzu 6 years old, and she sleeps in her own bed,in our bedroom, but she gets up early and wakes us up. My husband takes her outside inmediately. We also have an adopted Dog with issues he's a barker he likes to bite he wants to rule and dominate everyone, we have try everything with him. We show him that he's loved and care for but we do not let him control , bc he is A crazy little one, so when we adopted him The rescue center told us he is a caged dog,so we cage him at night between 11pm and 12am he is use to that, I see no wrong in that, he's out and about all day long, is only for sleeping, Sometimes we're looking for him and he is in his cage bc we leave it open and it's kind of his private area he likes it. He retrieves for a nap during the day not always but he does that. Besides, the cage is big and he is a scottie/yorkie = a scorkie tiny he's got plenty of space in that cage. He might have been a neglected dog or he is naturally Bipolar or something bc he is very weird, just like humans they suffer all kinds of conditions and fears. We still assured him he is loved. And he is lucky to have us bc he was surrender by his owner at the rescue center, and we have not given up on him and will not he's ours for life, it'll be two years in feb 2021 If they are cage in a Puppy Mill well that's a different story, but in the house with a nice cozy bed in it well that's their little home.

Rarely people locking their dogs in our modern time..specially shih tzu even no excuse for shedding hair because they dont shed. I dont get it for the cage... Seriously please you have to rethink about this cage. I volunteer at the shelter...first requirement for adoption ,no cage inside the house. And the dog must roam freely inside the house...and i believe this is become standard in usa shelters adoption requirement..

HICHAM MOUCHRIK although I’m no professional..but my 14 week old shih tzu puppy loves his crate, he has his blanket and teddy in there with him ( his name is teddy aswell lol ) When we are watching TV, we leave his crate door open and he brings his toys inside his crate to just relax. Although the crate may not be for everyone, it definitely works for a lot of people. I wouldn’t force my dog into a crate if it was cruel ☺️

They are probably cleaner than you are. Seriously alot of people let their dog sleep on the bed.I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Why would you even say that, if you are a true dog lover? You make it sound taboo, or filthy? I can see crates, if they want to sleep in a crate, but they have to be trained, at a very early age. Not all dogs like a crate, some are scared , especially a rescue dog. That is already sometimes frightened of everything. They like the nearness and security of sleeping next to you. at the foot of the bed. Mine do, soooooo what? It's sounds like you are a very, opinionated, judgemental person. Hello thanks for sharing. I have had my precious Shih Tzu (NEEKO)since he was six weeks old now he is eight years old he’s had a lot of anal gland issues we even had to get them removed because we were going more and more to get them extracted. I noticed in the video you had one to keep scooping you may want to get that checked our wonderful Vet even had to start giving him like Benadryl shots because he’s allergic to everything which caused a lot of itching and scooting and the vet said because they can’t itch in certain areas they will scoot.

What length or hair style do you keep your dogs in
