Morning Report 2 Jul 24: US and European stocks rise, surviving a spike in bond yields
US sharemarkets started July on a positive footing, despite being challenged by a sharp rise in bond yields. The Dow Jones index rose 50 points or 0.1%, the S&P 500 index gained 14pts or 0.3% and the Nasdaq index rose 146pts points or 0.8%. Technology names led the improvements, with megacap names well supported, Apple shares rose 2.9%, Amazon firmed 2% , and Microsoft gained 2.2%. Tesla shares were noteworthy for a 6% gain during the session, in turn rising for a fifth day ahead of a soon to be released delivery report. European sharemarkets rose on Monday, halting the declines that featured last week, as investors expressed relief that the far right is less likely to gain a majority following French Parliamentary elections at the weekend. Elsewhere, the annual inflation rate in Germany fell to 2.2% in June from 2.4% in May, below forecasts of 2.3%. The continent-wide FTSEurofirst 300 rose almost 6 points or 0.3%. In London, the UK FTSE 100 index ended slightly higher with a gain of 2 points.

From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family..

I have heard a lot of wonderful things about Elizabeth Maria Hawley on the news but didn't believe it until now. I'm definitely trying her out
Yeah nah, going down, maybe up, but overall going sideways?
Please stop calling Frances leading democratic party ‘far right’ Tom; it makes you sound ‘far left’😮

Agreed and notice how you rarely ever hear the term 'far left'. It's just a label they attach to anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda, but remember Tom does work for a big bank which usually lean left towards socialism!
‘Far right’ movement in France, does that mean serfdom and provincial trade duties will come back? That’s sure to have an effect on markets.
