This is what happens when I miss Lena. So, a few weeks ago, I decided to watch Merlin because I've been contemplating that for months already. After finishing all five seasons, I'm officially adding it to my list of 'shows that I regret not watching sooner'. Also, I probably can't be the only one who's thinking about Lena Luthor whenever Morgana has a scene. Like, come on! The parallels?!
Anyway, here's the simple plot:
As punishment, Morgana gets reincarnated as Lena Luthor. With her being given another chance to live and still carrying the memories of her past, she decides to do good and correct her ways. However, her decision on being good becomes a challenge when obstacles come in her way that are similar to the ones she already went through. Meanwhile, Kara gets visions of Lena as Morgana and sees her evil doings and begins to be bothered on trusting her friend completely. She is placed in the position of Merlin when he was warned by the Great Dragon about Morgana.

Uther... Luthor. Coincidence? I think not. They were both adopted just to find out that their adopted dad is their real dad. Both have a kind heart but have to suffer from their family. Both tried to get rid of their parents (Uther and Lillian). The list goes on and on.

Unfortunately she will. I read that is what is going to happen eventually. Both Morgana and Lena are evil in the original tale/comics respectively
god the concept here is too good... morgana being reborn as lena as her redemption and having to bear the betrayal of an older half sibling to feel the pain she caused in her last life and then being given a chance to make it right... and a best friend who's lying to her and a parent who she'll never be good enough for. really a "suffer the way your brother suffered and try to rectify your lifetime of hatred" kinda thing. imagine the double reveal. "i'm supergirl" "cool. i'm an ancient sorceress who betrayed all my friends and family. wanna save the world together?" sorry for such a long comment on a year old video i'm just. constantly overthinking.

Interestingly given she also played Zara Young in Jurassic world, was the viscious death penance for Morgana... or stocking up on karma points for Lena to hodini her way into and out of some REALLY bad stuff
All these parralles tho. Two of my favorite characters and wow 1:44 - 1:45 I'm speechless

Perfectly satisfying transition
It's so sad looking back because what happened to Morgana is now happening to Lena. I see so many similarities with her in season 5 of supergirl that were in season 3 of Merlin. The cycle continues!
Someone needs to get Katie to watch this so she can show the directors and this can be canon!!!!

Interesting video! I watched Merlin long before I watched Supergirl, so it's the other way around for me, when I see Lena I think of Morgana. I have noticed the strikign similarities in their backstories though. I just hope Lena doesn't turn evil too.... She's my favorite character.

Dude this vid is sick! I can't believe I've only stumbled upon it now. Love all the physical connection action you did, jumping from Lena to Morgana and vice versa. I didn't realized there are sooo many same movement. It makes me want to pick Merlin back up again and watch it.

I wish that to but they can't do that because of dreamer powers or kinda similar to Morgan's so it wouldn't work out that well

Breazycoon I checked them out and your right, their are amazing fics out there. Im reading one where kara was transported to camelot and she needs a magic user to help her get back to her home. She still has her powers and stuff but she doesn't recognize lena. She just sees her as morgana. But i will keep looking for ones more like this video cause its absolutely amazing!

Morgana- she wanted to prove that magic wasn't evil but the way she proved that magic was evil made her evil Lena- she wanted to prove that the name Luthor isn't all evil because of her but when she found out Kara was Supergirl she turned evil

It's clear to me that Morgana and Lena were written similarly and both had heroes like Kara and Merlin who tried to help them. Morgana and Lena both were destined to do terrible things. The difference in my opinion was Kara Danvers. Both Merlin and Kara hid who they were, both kept a dual identity from Lena and Morgana which caused both to turn dark. The difference, Kara didn't abandon Lena, she doubted her at times, but never fully abandoned her despite everyone telling her Lena was bad. Merlin listened to the dragon, he abandoned Morgana. Morgana only turned to her sister because everyone she trusted abandoned her. Kara wouldn't let their family abandon Lena, she never truly gave up

Yeah... the parallels are overwhelming... Also they both have really abusive family's... -Uther put Morgana in a cell with chains arround her wrists just for speaking up to him - Lenas family tried to kill her multiple times (and is abusive in every other way possible) Arthur is her adoptive brother who turns out to be her half brother Same with lex Arthur was the golden boy So was lex Lena was told she is a luthor by blood when she was grown up Morgana just heard it, she never actually was told To name some other similarities I also always think that eve is a parallel to Gwen, friend and in love with the brother, and later an ally again bc she used powers (eve was consumed by hopez/technology and gwen by magic) Both just want to be loved and accepted... They didn't want to be like their family Also they want no one to be hurt And they both suffered great pain 💔 A difference is that the darkness within them completely consumed Morgana but Lena made it back into the light... 🥺😌

Uthor Luther it sounds the same right so we know how at the end of Merlin it’s in the 2000s and stuff right what if somehow Morgana survived and used the last of her magic to be reborn into a powerful family that was named after her or something. Or it’s just her in a parallel universe which makes more sense and sounds smarter since they were both adopted and both powerful and hot

Nice video but to be honest the whole SuperCorp thing is ridiculous and it gets taken way to far. I mean Seriously lena and Kara are supposed to be really good friends but not lovers. I’m a fan of Katie McGrath but I don’t like hearing about SuperCorp. It will never happen. Sometimes all i see about the show supper girl is gay jokes and edits about Katie! Leave Katie McGrath alone!
