Great reaction! One of his guitar influences was Django Reinhardt who he mentioned during his fast rap sections of “The Hunger”. He was a jazz guitarist. He was Romani and helped create “Gypsy Jazz” in the 1930’s. You can definitely see his influence in REN’s acoustic playing. Let’s go!

Something I noticed but i might be reaching for, in jenny tale. He mentions "the dark night" but could it be that in that moment, she almost needed "the dark knight" to save her.

He did a story on Instagram where he was playing the character of Screech hanging with friends, but he didn't explain it beforehand and had everybody wondering why Ren was being such a dick 😂 and, yes, his gf was busy with Patrick.

From what I’ve heard Ren read the newspaper article at a time when there were a lot of stabbings happening & the fact that this was just a 14 year old kid - like what is happening with our society really bothered him. Also, the article (as well I’d imagine) as TV coverage ending statement was “it’s such a shame” & then just moving onto the next news story bothered him because of our acceptance of it all - which is a little more profound! Hence - The Tales arrived from his soul!

regarding his guitar skills the internet says he‘s studied music performance at Bath Spa University. so he‘s indeed educated in this direction what explains his diverse musical abilities a bit more. maybe he hasn‘t finished and the rest is self-taught or self-taught before university? at least he‘s possibly got the tool from university to develop himself. also i think his mother had something to do with music if i remember rightly. so there might indeed have been some classical training, but who knows. just look at his piano skills in „for joe“. in all his playing there are classical figures which you can’t get merely from the likes of jimmy hendrix. in any case he most likely has been influenced by classically trained close persons. by the way, i guess everyone who‘s classically trained and wants to step into the world of rock is slowing down jimmy hendrix and others on platforms at one point to learn.
