This brought tears to my eyes, although being from Jamaica and from the worse hit part in Jamaica. I can understand the pain and sadness that comes with such devastation. May god bless and protect us all. Please God help Greneda and Jamaica and all the other islands.

Very sad. At least many lives have been saved - the power of these hurricanes can decimate lives in half hour. God's blessings and prayers go to all those who survive and all the neighbouring islands and islanders. A lot of people resilience, but help (medically for this physiological trauma), physically and mentally, will be needed from this devastating trauma.

Having lived through two Cat 5 - Hurricane Irma and Maria back to back - and seen the total devastation, my heart really goes out for the people of Union Island and Canouan especially, and also those in Grenada and its Grenadines. But just as this country rose after the devastation of Irma and Maria, so too will SVG and Grenada.

Will everyone rebuild or move? This isn't going to stop! The ocean temperature is rising. Where will these islanders get the money to rebuild? We have super inflation in the US. We can't afford our monthly bills. I live on cereal and milk. Prayers don't help. I am a devout Catholic.

Sis Yes we are so Blessed!!!! Remember we have a lot of sincere prayer warriors also. In and out of Jamaica. We were all praying and taking Authority over that hurricane. Yes there are a lot of bad people there in Jamaica but the few MightyPrayer Warriors outweighs them all.❤❤❤❤

When this person say “Jamaica is Blessed” I’m assuming they mean that with all the crimes and atrocities in Jamaica , God did not give us a severe beating as we deserved because the Prayer Warriors were and still praying. We all know how evil our Jamaicans are but Gods mercies when we pray outweighs them all. So let all the islands of the sea determine in our hearts to seek God and His Righteousness first and we will all see His Glory and Mercies. I'm wondering why Samaritan Purse, a quick response, relief organization, hasn't lend a hand to the St. Vincent (mainland), and the rest of the Grenadines islands? They in Carriacou, nearby.

I traveled to Bermuda and many Caribbean islands for years. There have always been Hurricanes since the beginning of time. The islands and the azure waters of the Caribbean were so beautiful but our climate is changing and people are still using fossil fuels and littering like never before.

@sandramontgomery3182 it is hard to keep track because some people are in shelters, and I think some are staying with relatives and friends. Most places around SVG still do not have electricity.

Please pray for the people who are suffering on these islands. If you want to help, please donate to Samaritan’s Purse, they are already there. Please continue to pray.

Massive losses in terms of ROOFS! I do NOT see any BOLTED WALL Plates into BELT BEams at the top of the walls. This is a recipe for Disaster which came to pass! Construction Methods NOT in Compliance with the Caribbean Uniform Building Code (CUBiC)! Hence, the level of Losses as the Wind exerted Negative (Sucking) Pressure on the Roofs! We need to up the game!

Prayers, Sincere Prayers from the Heart Wanted. When we pray and seek Him First then everything else will fall into place. Divine Provisions for all things. Divine Protection . Everything!
