Yeah his focus is like that, he sees something and forgets everything else, so the season was perfect for him getting tasks meant he didnt notice people trying to be friends with him and feeling like no one wanted to be his friends made people pity him and him creating many half-alliances all hearts mattering meant he was less careless with wondering around

Additionally, in 3rd Life after Scar turned red, he gave Grian poppies and lilacs while asking if they could still be friends. Fanartists like to reuse these flowers across the seasons, especially in Secret Life due to another flower, sunflowers, being used for Scar on his yellow life and the fact his red life skin can be inferred to include poppies and lilacs on the edges of the cape as a nod to 3rd Life and the fandom. :D

Poppies can also symbolize Desertduo (aka Grian & Scar) when paired with lilacs, because (also in 3rd Life) Scar gave Grian poppies and lilacs as a peace offering directly after his yellow death, showing that he wouldn't break his alliance with Grian just because he was red.

So essentially what you're saying is poppys symbolise bonds, despite being a common flower (in Minecraft) it's been gifted as an act of friendship, a friendship that stays together until the end(Jimmy dying, Scott avenging him & Grian and Scar making it to the end and even despite fighting to the death still agree they both won it together even though Grian won the duel)

I kinda dislike that they think Scar won only because G took a lot of hearts from Gem and the Scotts, like, isn't that the point on all the seasons? To kill the other participants? If not Grian maybe they would have lost those heart elsewhere. We don't know. What I'm trying to say is: Don't take credit from Scar (or any other winner). They deserve their win. Scar played smart and got his reward, just like Martyn took advantage of the situation in Limited Life, it was smart, so a deserved win.

I think most people agree with that. Let’s not attribute Scar’s win to someone else’s effort while ignoring his own skill. The fact that Gem’s team lost so many hearts certainly contributed to his win, but he still survived multiple intense battles and beat both Gem and Pearl to win. Scar deserves the credit for his own win. At the same time, though, we can still admire the insane amount of damage Grian caused that whole team just before he died. That was still legendary.

I’m proud of both Bdubs and Scar this season. The dragon killer and the series winner. As a parent I will repeat what I tell my kids, “I have no favorite child, I just like one over the other on certain things.”

Lizzie was also the reason for Jimmy going red in both of her seasons. Last life: Jimmy fell for Lizzies tnt trap Secret Life: Lizzie got Scott, Jimmy and Martyn to go to the end

Tbf to scars villain arc the past 3 winners have been the villains, plus grian wasn’t exactly the good guy in S1 killing scar and then allying with him, Scott was the only “heroic” winner so far bc he abstains from violence until the last episode the true hero of the life series’

I think Secret Life revealed the weird trend of the Life series, that no one who opposed Scar ended up winning. Grian was Scar's partner, Scott was civil with Scar, Scar was pretty much Pearl's only friend, and the Mean Gills and the Clockers were steadfast allies. Because of his tasks, Scar was forced to oppose everyone (even Grian, who asked to be friends on Scar's opposite day task), so if no one could win if he opposed them...

I'm sad that Scott's final sacrifice was pointless, mostly because Scar refused to kill Pearl until Gem was dead. It was a smart move on Scar's part in the end, he did win after all, but Gem wasn't able to take either of them out, meaning the hearts Scott gave her were meaningless.

I mean, for Scott, if he died to Scar or Pearl, Gem would have had no chance at all because she was also really low, so he gave her a small chance at winning through sacrifice. It didn’t work out obviously, but I wouldn’t say it was meaningless.

Grian was being targeted and hunted down. It was self defense, he had no vendetta. He saw an opportunity and took it. Scar winning was just the cherry.

What Scott did telling jimmy not to team up with Scar was so manipulative 😂 And it works at the end, If jimmy was with Scar the jimmy himself is in danger 😂 (Cause the secret keeper made Scar a villain) but jimmy with martyn made it lots more easier for The whole server (Cause martyn died 2 times quickly and jimmy died 3 times quickly, making it that in the finale theyre isnt a lot of ppl)

Im curious what wouldve happened if grian didn't take the hearts from gem, impulse, and scott. If the events transpired identically and it was gem, pearl, and scar. Gem would have a higher chance at winning. But not a guarantee. Lets not forget she tried at least once before to kill scar and failed in the series. The whole "ill post the fight vid later, nevermind i got my as$ handed to me meme" was prolific because of that. But grian's trap had other ramifications. - It seperated grian and cleo - it ended up being grian's demise because the Band kids caught him and killed him. - it was the immediate death of impulse because he was at 1 shot health for scars bow. - it caused scott to sacrifice because of his low health. We start with alternate 1. Grian and cleo staying together and grian not building the trap could have resulted in scar ending them both. This would raise scar an extra 20 hearts. Though id guess closer to 10-15 as grian didnt go down easy. This means that while the Band had high health and numbers Scar would have more health as well. Or potentially pearl or another endgame ally of scar who was still alive when cleo was killed. Perhaps joel (?) Generally this is a huge alternate that gives massive win chances to both sides. Alternate 2 there is a chance grian could have killed all 3 of the band members. Because keep in mind the trap wasnt the only damage there grian was fighting very well against all 3 of them. If grian succeeded. Cleo probably still would have died but joel wouldnt have. Meaning the mounders and scar would be up against just grian and not all 3 band kids. (Band kids is easier than Gem & the scotts) and maybe bigB if he wasnt dead yet. Grian succeeding may not have changed the outcome that much. Plus if it came down to grian vs scar. Grian probably would let scar take the win. Alternate 3 If the trap was slightly different among some other things grian could have accidentally killed all 4 of them. Making the final standoff be against pearl, joel, scar, and bigb (if he was alive) Even if one or two survive they'd be on their last legs and easy prey for anyone. Swaying the health advantage to whoever kills them. Alternate 4 This is a set of alternate paths for the death of impulse. If grian was with cleo impulse simply wouldnt have taken the damage and would have had a more drawn out fight with scar which could have had later ramifications. Obviously grian killing him would be different but thats already explained. But if the explosion killed grian and band members or even just a few band members impulse would still be low and an easy target. Generally there is a variety of ways impulse could change things if the trap never happened. Alternate 5 scotts sacrifice changes alot. Obviously if he was dead it never wouldve happened. But if he was the only survivor of the trap. He'd like meet a fate similar to impulse or he would be scott and strike a deal with someone to sacrifice anyway. Scott and pearl both have the same perspective of winning already and are more likely to sacrifice themselves to other players in the final stand. If the full band survived with health not killing grian, joel would still fall granted he hadn't killed grain. Leaving bigb (?), pearl, and scar with the added health of grian to fight gem, impulse, and scott. Finale factors Grian's high damage sacrifice was not the only factor that cause scar to win. And it did not at all hand it to him. Scar fought his heart out the whole session. Claiming tons of kills and hearts. If the trap didnt go off at all impulse would have been a tougher fight, grian would be a threat, and the whole band would be a tanky group with tight bonds as opposed to the widdling band of misfits scar was following. At the very least grian's trap indeed gave scar the impulse kill. But they number of routes the other situations could have taken are near infinite. But most point to gem or scar winning. Even something as simple as scar actually accepting pearl's sacrifice would change the path. Scar would then have the health advantage if grian's trap happened. But this goes without thinking of the multitude of other traps and environmental features that could damage gem. But then again who's to say scar alone couldnt take a 30-50 heart gem down. He took like 20+ from her purely defensively earlier on with the zombie hoard. Now imagine that offensively. Scar doesnt seem to have the greatest self preservation skills but the man can be deadly and can survive when he puts his focus on that. Especially with a bow. Plus with how much gem likes to close distance on people the explosives and lava he used on pearl might have actually worked better on gem. In the end scar earned his win. No matter what happened to other players beforehand.

What do poppies mean?

in literally every season of the life series there are some random factors that could change anything and pretty much the whole series is one giant chain reaction. what if grian didnt kill scar in third life? would grian or scar be part of ren's team? would ren win? what if joel killed lizzie and didnt turn red first in last life? first, people like grian and cleo wouldnt turn red and neither would scar. lizzie also wouldnt win you bet your life and then a lot of lives wouldnt be distributed to people like ren. if one moment in the server went even slightly different, then the outcome could be totally different. back to secret life, in the video the point of bdubs not eating a golden apple which would have meant joel accidentally killed him could be joel defeating scott and gem completely. scott only really won against joel because of the extra hearts from killing bdubs. joel is one of the better players in terms of combat and he had really good gear. if he killed scott he may have been able to kill gem too with the hearts. this would leave BigB, Joel, Scar, and Pearl remaining. bigb was already decently low so i dont think he would make it far and then it could be up to whether pearl teams with scar or joel. considering joel is a mounder and scar is not, i think they would team. scar does have an advantage of a lot of hearts but in this scenario, joel has a bit too. pearl could sacrifice or not but i dont know who will win exactly. scar has the advantage of hearts, but joel has a lot of skill. i think joel winning is possible but we could have scar win too. the meme in reference at 1:52 says this and i think it really makes the whole series go into question.
