    This was incredibly special to my heart . I remember her as a cub with her brothers and sister and her 3 dads ( I loveeeeeed them so much as still llove Skorrokorro. She lost all of them but she was an amazingly little survivor and now she is a Queen soon to be a mom. Truly amazing story of one little cubs survival to overcome so many odds . I just adore her and so thankful for this time with her. ❤❤❤

    The young Princess is such a pretty lioness and seeing them sitting so close to each other with their heads together was incredibly beautiful. Although they are laid back and relaxed, his protective instinct is never far away, an absolute delight to see. Thank you for keeping us updated.

    Aww, look@ the “honeymooners”, so jealous 💗 It’s a beautiful & poignant story of the young princess. It’s also a testament of lions & their indomitable spirit. So difficult to hear 5 of her litter siblings didn’t make it. Indeed, existence in the wild is a perpetual dance of life & death for all its members. To survive is to beat the odds. It’s truly survival of the fittest. Surely wish Princess is protected & treasured. Hoomans ought to be more caring & sharing with these magnificent beings. Thank you Christof. Cheers to your healthy family. (ps: the clip of the cub Princess jumping on her father’s back is just endearing. So glad the pride didn’t abandon her since she’s the lone surviving cub.)

    Thanks for the background story. I remember that video of when she hoped on her dad's back as he was sending a bellowing roar. I remember wondering how come it doesn't scare her a little.

    Great video the young princess is growing. I remember princess jumping on her father back that was epic. Did i hear you say that it was 20 of the skorro males, you view? It appear they lost some cubs. Need more report on this. Great video i truly enjoyed. Until next time

    If this pride sticks together i cant see any other males taking there territory or matchung there size and cleverness.. i think i know my body language and i havent seen such confidence in awhile.. not craziness or heart or stubbornness but sheer confidence in these vuyela boys..

    I believe several months ago there were several remaining from the River pride, this says the "princess" is the lone survivor, are there any ideas of what happened to the others? (If it was addressed in the video, I apologize, I may have missed it)

    Thanks Luke no probs💯 of the very first two litters born in the beginning of 2020, the young princess was the only survivor. Luckily they produced another two litters that are three young males and a female. We not sure on the whereabouts of the These 4 at the moment

    When a lioness gives birth to more than one cub, do they all have the same father or if she mates during estrus with many males, is there a chance they have different fathers?

  • @cs-wildcam

    @cs-wildcam

    Жыл бұрын

    100%👍😄 in the larger coalitions, males will take over from one another if energy to mate diminishes. They also see each others cubs as they’re own if they are from the same coalition

    Thank you for another great video! I have a question, I know the reserve borders Kruger Nat Park. On Krugers site they say they do medical interventions from “ DNA sampling, de-horning rhinos, TB testing..” and “Darting lions or elephants for medical treatment such as snare or fight wounds.” So the lions in Kruger are then classified as “wild managed lions”? But most reserves around the borders say their lions are “wild lions” so no intervention whatsoever. How does that work for the lions going in and out? Are all your lions even if they cross over from Kruger left untouched and just reported to Kruger if something happens? Very curious how this works.

  • @cs-wildcam

    Thanks for the question 🙋‍♂️ the greater kruger or where we are have the same interventions as the national park and falls under the same legislation. In short they are indeed wild managed animals Compared to our previous eras, conservation areas around the world have shrunk extensively

    Ahh thank you so much for explaining.! I was confused about how it worked. Its good that your area falls under the same umbrella! Yes, sadly it has shrunk and continues to. That’s why your work and all your colleagues work is so important; and very appreciated!! You’re bringing so much information and spreading awareness through your work, thank you.

    Somebody needs to release 500 big kangaroos in africa. Sprinkle in a few hundred tigers too. A few thousand wolves and bison too. Grizzly bears and black bears too. Some komodo dragons and a few other species too. Imagine that ratings of every nature show! Nature Deathmatch coming to you live from africa! Wolf pack vs male grizzly vs hyenas vs lions. Buff kangaroos vs leopards. Bison vs buffalo! Grizzly vs croc. The action would be non stop.
