    I have been LOVING Cos de Baha ever since you first recommended them. They are officially the core of my skin care routines now. Got the niacinimide toner some months ago and it is my favorite daytime toner. I have been layering my Sunday Riley oils (Luna and UFO) on top of the Retinol and Salicylic serums and it’s been MAGICAL! Of course I just ordered the Galactomyces and Vit C serums as you finished speaking. You are Brilliant, Sher. My skin and I are indebted to you! Lol! Keep up the great work and your eye look is AMAZING!!!

    Sheri, you are a treasure! Thank you so much for this indepth review. I'm using Tretinoin 0.05% every 3rd night (still new to this, so far no purging but slight irritation) but I still like to incorporate Cos De Baha's retinol serum. Also, I've been eyeing their Niacinamide Toner and that will definitely go into my shopping cart. You sold me on the Galactomyces 94 serum!

    Hi Trish thanks for your comment. Good luck with your Tretinoin use. That will still be stronger than the cos de baha retinol. So perhaps once you've completed your treatment you can try maintaining with the cos de baha. Let me know how you like the other items when you get them ;-)

    Hi Sheri. Just stumbled on your lovely chanel in trying to find a single legit review online on the newest version of the Cos De Baha 2.5 Retinol Serum lol. Really hoping to get your advice on my slight dilemma and plan of attack. Mainly not new to acids at all. I always keep my cleanser and moisturizer hydrating and gentle and have left all my exfoliation to chemical active serums which has been the perfect balance for my very blemish/oily prone skin which is very clear and balanced as long as I am a skincare routine nazi and stick to it religiously. Currently I use a Vitamin C Serum for day plus spf ofcourse. For night I alternate a BHA Serum and Oz Naturals 2.5% Retinol. This is a great retinol off Amazon also advertised and 2.5% and all these years it didnt occur to me permit being a more gentle derivative its is only truly .1% LOL. This is the same story for most of the affordable "retinol" serums on Amazon. Compared to the usual heavier acne causing cream formulas of more mainstream brand retinals and ofcourse the real prescription horror stories I've heard I enjoyed the OZ Serum all these years even with the minor benefits. I am in that a little scared to try this Cos version realizing it is truly 2.5% strength and am shocked it is sold online comically among at such a dirt cheap cost. How do you suggest I build up to this and how exactly to apply it even if I'm not a newbie to acids but have never used such a strong retinol? I have always used my more mild current serum under eyes and on neck also without second thought of irritation among typically applying a generous 3-4 drops spread all over face, under eye, and neck. With this version do you suggest 1-2 drops spread between hands and patted in to be safe? Initially I thought I'd jump in every other day to replace my current mild retinol but thinking once a week now. I just dont want to have any side effects to ruin all the hard work of my skin currently being totally clear/balanced. Thank you truly for your advice and thoughts! 💕

    Hey, I'm very interested in the vitamin c and retinol serum. I have strong hyperpigmentation, some smile lines but overall my skin is healthy, maybe 2-3 pimples and scars. I'm a teen, if I used it now, what would be the negative side effects if I for example start to stop with it or even started with it as I'm still very young. My skin type is more dry but definitely not sensitive. 2,5% is a lot but I trust this brand. I also have strong dark circles though I know I can't use it for that. Very dark spots, deep-set eyes (because I used to touch my eyes too much and now the skin around has kinda pushed deeper, it's quite visible compared to how I used to look like). I'm only unsure about the retinol serum, 100% sure of the vitamin c serum though. Little question: What's the difference between the VM and VA?😅❤️ Thanks a lot!!🌼

    Please *be careful with the Retinol 2.5%!!!* I am using the translucent formula which is the latest version. I slowly eased it into my skincare routine - once every 3 nights and it caused my hyperpigmentation marks to be so dark! Besides purging (which is expected), the retinol was still too strong and caused acne marks to darken and skin to flake. I also use the niacinamide + arbutin from Cos de Baha, the Snail Mucin, Azelaic Acid, Hydroquinone, Salicylic acid. Honestly I do not see such fantastic results as raved here but given the price point I will just continue to use them.

  • @SheriApproved

    @SheriApproved

    3 жыл бұрын

    Sorry to hear that but it might not be the right formula for you. I have not had your experience. In fact my skin improved a whole lot and it was critical for the management of my acne. Once every 3 nights is not easing it in as well. Once per week, mixed into moisturiser for a couple weeks to see how your skin adjusts before going in with it directly on your skin. I have personally used many OTC retinol products. Retinol just like acids if not used properly for your skin can create hot spots which can trigger extra melanin release. That may or may not have been the case, I cannot say. In any event if something is not working for you, there is a world of other options. You may need something much gentler. I also never recommend hydroquinone use on my channel as in my opinion this should not be used without dermatologist supervision. It can thin your skin and actually trigger something called ochronosis. Good luck

    Hi! Your reviews are amazing!! Thank you :) How would you compare the AHA BHA Toner and their 10% Glycolic serum? How do I know which one I should try to use?

  • @SheriApproved

    @SheriApproved

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi thanks so much for watching. If you haven't used glycolic before I actually recommend starting at a 5%. If you are already accostumed then the choice will really depend on your routine and preference of toner or serum. Both can be used 2-3 times per week...start with least frequency and build usage accordingly. The serum is stronger though. However the toner has a little salicylic acid in the combination. If you have salicylic elsewhere in your routine then serum might be better.

    Hi it's difficult to recommend without knowing more information directly. But if you are looking for cos de baha products that will help with melasma - their tranexamic acid serum, the Arbutin Niacinamide Serum, the vitamin c serum (depending on what your skin can handle they have both l ascorbic and a vit c derivative), gentle exfoliation (check out the new lactic acid serum) and of course sunscreen the most critical thing. Good luck

    Vitamin c have worked really well for me, in giving me more even skin tone. I would definitely recommend including it in your skincare routine. But DONT mix it with retinol product. You can for example use retinol in the nighttime and vitamin c in the daytime. Don’t use them together, vitamin c is a very unstable substance, and there are some things you cannot mix it with, so definitely make sure to look up what can be mixed with it and not

    It did not...but I always recommend starting with just 2 nights per week and allowing your skin to slowly adjust before increasing nights. This helps to reduce some of these effects but it is completely normal for some breakouts to occur as skin cell turnover increases. It is only bringing up breakouts you would have still gotten, but faster, until it clears out.
