Problem with fog essentials is that it was meant to just be a basics brand for wardrobe essentials but it got overhyped as a way to show you have a bit more money than wearing a Nike tracksuit. If they didn’t plaster their logo all over it then it could have just been a solid brand as they make decent clothing

However both Adidas and Nike by now have a lot of stuff that's pricier. So now you don't really look like someone with more money anymore. Still the quality is great. That's what it should be bought for. Buying purely for flex is always idiotic.

I think a piece by piece basis is healthy. REAL fashion heads will not give a rats ass about a brand and wear it if it speaks to them. Some of the best fits in my opinion come from pairing high end more end game fantasy peices with low end everyday style. But then again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with writing off a brand completely if it isn't your thing.

Like many I started to hate on Supreme once it became the focal of hypebeast culture, but after finding some of their pieces op-shopping I realised that they actually make some really nice stuff. I bought an essentials shirt before the pandemic while I was a sophomore in hs (ikr I am so ahead of the curb), and I do have to admit I love the boxy/broad cuts they do, but I really hate the damn logo. It's so large and complex to take off like damn. Overall, 3 years later, I am still trying to remove that logo and get back my oversized, hefty black long-sleeve T-shirt because that cut is just so low. Who suffered the most from this hate trend model is definitely Virgil. I was one of them; I mean, white was everywhere in highschool teens. Yet, when the retrospective videos came out a year ago, and watching the Bliss foster video, I think I missed the point of his larger then life "you can do it to" fast style. I mean, if he knew he was fighting cancer, it makes sense why he was so vocal and loud about just doing ANYTHING for ANYONE. So, while I still wouldn't say I like the Offwhite logos, there were some cool individual things there; the same goes with his time at LV. It was loud, a little too much branding, but there were some incredible things. I seriously thought the 80's Bsktball hightops where so cool I bought a pair of 550s since the reference material looked equally as good.

The ‘23 F/W essentials season is def the one where i finally was able to score both the off white and black pieces. I like how subtle the branding is on this season the only piece i couldn’t get is the damn black sweatpants! Virgil did some exciting things with deconstructing a lot of logo work through off white Nike and LV. Tho I think a lot of the excitement in design did leave with him. I’m only slightly bias to his work because we share having an architecture background and I got majority of his work and what he was trying to do through that architecture lens.

Hey Antwon, I had a gen 2 Motorola Razr smartphone/flip-phone and I loved it right up until a small bump caused the battery to kill itself. After that, all the phone could do was get hotter and hotter until it ran out of charge, getting warm enough that it burned a hole in its front-facing display and melted a little divot in my friend's plastic bathtub. All I could do was put gloves on to try and get my sim card out and then leave it outside in a cup of ice. So I guess, watch out for that type of thing. Replaced with a previous-gen pixel off backmarket though, lmao, love backmarket

I'm watching this as I am wearing some represent clothing. Never was aware this was the perception from fashion enthusiasts. I feel like I am one. But I do have a few reasons I like them. For a luxury esque street wear brand, they do big sales pretty often, that ends up being really affordable pending on what you want. The affordability allows me to experiment a lot more with things that may have been designed a bit better than some of the things I was buying before. I do feel the quality difference in some of the things I own from them. And for the most part I do agree that the aesthetic fits in with my street wear clothing. I've been working out in their 247 pants for almost a year and they've held up pretty well in the gym and I definitely put them to work in there without anything happening, unlike some of my other gym pants.

Standing on the shoulder of giants is a reference to the Oasis album which one of the founders mentioned as inspiration I've been buying from represent for a while now, and here's my view: They're getting expensive. I think the quality of their clothes is pretty decent, but I don't think you can charge £150+ for a hoodie and it not be premium. Black friday sales were piss poor too, the prices were probably what the clothes should have been originally selling for. Don't think a pair of shorts is worth £80+. As for them copying designs, I think the most egregious example of this is their slides. A straight up copy of Yeezy slides with represent branding. In the promo video they claimed they'd spent 6 months coming up with the design... I think their worst trait is inconsistent sizing. None of the pants sizing match up. I have a small and medium in different pants, yet an XS in one of their other pants was still ridiculously long. But it's not all bad, I actually really like the designs, regardless of copying or not. I think the branding is nice. The brand as a whole is also pretty good, they put out a lot of content and entertaining youtube videos

I ordered recently a pair of cargo's from the brand Reindee Lusion (still waiting for them patiently, they should arrive this tuesday), the brand seemed to me like a nice not too aggressive + more low-budget variant of a techwear inspired/influenced brand, it also seemd to me that the brand it self grew a bit more since their beginnings were kind of taboo/low-quality "techwear clothing", I've also seen few people wear some of their pieces in some cool fits, but never could find anyone that would really talk about the brands built quality and features of they're clothing more deeply in detail (my guess would be maybe because the brand just might not have much to offer, but I don't want to make my opinion based of random assumptions I made in my head) I do know you made a review on some of their stuff back in 2019, but is there a chance that you would share any changes in your opinion about the brand since then, or maybe I missed some other place you talked about they're presence? Anyway I just wanted to mention the brand under this video... To sum it all up, I would just really appreciate your or someone else's opinion about the brand and relationship with their clothing, the more it is in-depth, the better! *Btw, Sorry for the length, this sounds like a 100-word essay for a school assignment, and also for any grammar mistakes* Thanks to anyone who read threw this all...

i too got a pair of reindee lusion cargos because i'm in a place that rains a lot. I really like them and get excited whenever i need to wear them. however, i would only wear them when the weather is colder as when it's warm (and possibly humid) my legs sweat and it doesn't feel that comfortable. in fall / winter i wear a base layer with them and it's perfect.

I have a pair of cargos from them (not the steven cargos but the one that looks like it but more breathable one) and pretty much wear it all year round, from tropical places to colder places and that you can adjust the fit makes it makes it even more versatile and it's pretty comfy too. I also have the tech blazer from them and it's pretty decent, but not as soft as the cargos. It also just runs a little small so size up for that one.

I’m fine with Represent giving you trendy looks with a good quality for a fair price. I don’t think them try to position themself as high-fashion or niche closes. Have a puffer jacket for $125. Realy well made and trendy. I like the idea behind Acronym, Arcteryx or Balenciaga but I hate their pricing. You still need to wear something everyday for a reasonable cost. What I do hate is old style brands like Versace or D&G trying to get tothe streetwear train.

I will never understand common projects hype, so a brand that copies their already copied shoe style? No thanks! Never hear people talking abt it but CP shoes (which I’m just now realizing why I never see abbreviated online bc FBI OPEN UP!!💀) r literally just knock off Stan Smiths but worse bc they cost 5 times as much despite being one of the simplest made shoes on the market

14:16 I've bought something from a brand I hated before because the specific item I bought was exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a navy waistcoat with pinstripes a while ago and I found the perfect one at Karl Lagerfeld (it was a collab with the smaller queer designer Alled-Martinez). I hate Karl Lagerfeld, he said so many awful things (though he's dead now), and I hate Chanel which he worked for (Coco Chanel worked with Nazis, but NOBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT THAT) but this one specific piece from this one specific collection was the item I needed, so I bought it. I still want to get the branded tag on the outside of the waistcoat off though.

I don’t really get the hate for Helliot Emil tbh. I’ve been a fan of their stuff for quite some time, I think it actually might have been Ant that put me on it way back when. I ended up getting a cropped puffer from them in 2021 and I’ve been absolutely in love with it since. The nylon on the outside is lux, the stuffing is superb and the zipper is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced. If anything I’d say the metal rivets could be better, especially for the price, but I can live with those. It ran me $1k which at the time was my biggest purchase and I still feel like it was money well spent. Other than puffers I also quite like their tailoring, the blazers look cool as I really enjoy the strapy details that they include, though I never have any occasions to wear a blazer to so I haven’t purchased one I will agree that the carabiners on everything can look a bit corny, especially on some more formal pieces and I’m certainly not a fan of the latest Liquid Metal collection (which is a global trend that I have a gripe with), but other than that I feel like they have an identity and their pieces are distinct
