@@QuinsCoins I always watch the floor, I have found many poker chips as a cocktail waitress, found all separately but found, total 2-$100 chips 3-$25 chips an plenty of $5 chips, an only watched floor to make sure I walked properly an didn’t want to trip with tray full of drinks, lol

I just found a 1953 s nickel in the register drawer at the hardware store I work at (I am a cashier and also a sales associate there) four days ago! I’m in MI so that is extremely hard to find without coin roll hunting. A few days before that though I found a 1929 d wheat penny in the same store!

my first silver quarter came from a roll at my work it was 1945 i had people spend silver dimes so i snagged a handful of those

I just bought some nickel rolls and I found ANOTHER 1953 s nickel as well as a 1941 s and a dateless buffalo nickel. Also opened a few penny rolls and found two wheat pennies from the 1910s. Two days ago I got two wheat pennies from a roll and they were the same two years! All of these finds came from the same bank. I’m definitely heading back there a few more times.

The date on the front of buffalo nickels wears away fairly quickly because it is on a raised part of the nickel. A general rule of thumb is that any dateless buffalo nickel with a mint mark (on the back of the nickel below ‘five cents’) is worth more than any without a mint mark. Also there’s a product called “nic-a-date” that will reveal the date. However it will etch the nickel and eventually the date will disappear.

I remember a while ago I got a 1939 nickel in my change. It was in decent condition too.

Beginners luck is true! My cousin who just started his coin collection, was able to get an about VG 1908-O barber dime for just $5!

are you allowed to melt nickel and sell the raw materials? i know you can't with pennies but I'm not sure if that applies to all coins

Woahhhh that’s an awesome find! I just found a 2014 P nickel in the return area of the vending machine. Nothing special, but a nice 5 cents! Thats even more insane considering the quarter story at the bowling alley I told you about recently!
