I made a mistake, the Bison was moved to 11.7 and I didn’t notice. I would be slightly less hesitant to avoid it, but my personal opinion is largely the same. Old airframes carrying modern missiles are not a well balanced experience. This seems to be a continuing problem on this game however. And ultimately, I would not personally purchase one of these vehicles at their $75 price tag in any form.

I do look at it as easy access to the entire tech tree though, so it is a little more than just buying that jet, it’s more like buying the tech tree with some extra work required. So from that pov I find $35 to be much more value for the money if you manage to get one on sale

Also good to mention that the AMX A-1A gets significantly less CAS ordinance as well, as it only carries 6 500lb guided bombs. The tech tree varient can carry 1000 and 2000lb bombs as well which makes it much better for CAS. The only advantage the A1A has is that it gets the LITENING II Targetting Pod instead of the CLDP pod.

While it's true that A-1A does not get 2000 or 1000lb bombs, that does not make it any less efficient than tech tree variant. 2000lb bombs share the same hardpoints as twin racks for 500lb and any sane CAS pilot would pick that over single 2000lb bombs. For what it is, it's a perfect GRB aircraft for Italy. TL;DR, A-1A does not get "less ordinance", it gets less ordinance options, of which is not really an issue to begin with.

@@captainedward8278 The GBU-24's real advantage over the GBU-12 is that it has inertial guidance so if you lose the laze it'll keep heading to the last place it saw thee laze at. Big advantage if you need to go evasive when their SPAA starts firing at you since their SPAA likely won't move much allowing an easy kill.

@@diobrando2575 Simply incorrect. GBU-24's inertial guidance is to let it glide over a longer distance to the target's general location, not to hit targets precisely. It has an INS drift factor of 5, much worse than Hellfire's and everybody knows how they perform when you stop lasing.

I'm probably going to get the Bison to grind the UK TT. They have a few vehicles i would like to get to and theres no way I'm buying the premium phantom in the UK tree. Sadly there isnt much for alternatives.

Trust me bro you will regret it, just buy the f4, it’s way better to use it to grind the tech tree, and you can also save some money for training your crew or buy anything you want

i really would like to get the MiG-21 Bison and the F20A since i already love dogfighting top tier jets with the MiG-21SMT and the F5C in custom games and it would be cool to have better missiles unfortunately it's just not worth the money, but i couldn't resist getting the Su-39 since i wanted all the Su-25 varients, and it's air-to-ground radar and the ability to radar slave Vikhr and Kh-29TE missiles is so unique and im sad they're not giving it R-77s yet

The MiG 21 is going to be hard to get a good battle rating because it’s missiles are too good for smth like 11.3 but the flight performance is not 12.0

The Brazilian AMX A-1 is a dedicated ground attacker, but it once a squadron of Brazilian Airforce pilots beat a squadron of US National Guard pilots on F-16s, so who knows if it is correct to say it can't dogfight.

They are all just there for grinding, and going by that fact all of them are worth it. Because Buying a tree is way more expensive, and working on minimum wage for 100s of hours gets you more money.

@@SeekerHeadi really dont think talismans are as beneficial as people say like if you pay lets say $25-$35 for one of those mid tier prop packs or something you can only grind up to 1 rank above that efficiently then lets say you get some rank 6 jet and talisman it well the talisman itself is gonna cost ~$20 and ur STILL not gonna be able to grind rank 8 efficiently. (Correct me if im wrong abt anything i mentioned regarding how efficiently certain things research each ranks im not sure if i got all that right)

not the place but i need some tips on the f4e i'm spading it and honestly the 95% full uptiers are basically unplayable and doesnt help that the radar and the 7e arent good

If it gets 11.7 Br in sims. It will fall into 11.0-11.7 sim bracket. Best things there are RDI mirages and tomcat A and most numerous, Having proper non HPRF radar, decent fox1s with INS and DL and HMS R73s in that bracket could be insanely good. Even on MiG21 platform. Flight performance doesnt matter this much in sims.

They need to rework the BRs and armaments of the current rank 7-8 premiums. The J-7D carried 2x PL-8s on the inner missile pylons, yet they never gave them to it. The PL-8 would be the only reason to justify an 11.0 BR. Otherwise, 10.7 wpuld be perfect for it. The F-104S.TAF just needs to be 10.7 for obvious reasons. The F-4J Phantom F.3 needs to be 11.0. 11.3 constantly faces F-15s, which rinses it every game. The F-20's armament doesnt earn it a 12.0 BR. 11.7 is just about the only BR it would last in.

They should give the bison R-77 it had access to irl and keep it at 12.0

Playing the j7d and being up-tiered to 12.0 and facing a bison would be so insulting 😂

That plane is like Mig 21 “like the plane in the vietnam war😂

bro r73 and r27r with hmd is very powerful and are almost guaranteed frags when properly used, it cant be lower than 12.0

11.7 will still see many F16s, M2Ks, F14s, F15s and more. It just doesn’t have the airframe to keep up with those and 4 missiles is not a lot, even if R73s HMD are really nice. I don’t think it’ll be unusable by any means, but I can’t in good faith recommend it

The piranha has nowhere near the same range as the python 3/pl-8, the python 3 has similar range to the 9L if not better but the piranha feels like it has range on par with something like an R-13M1 or MAYBE at best the pl-5 series.

so the Python 3's motor is stronger than literally every other (at least IR) missile in game, and it has a very strong sustainer, which I believe totals it out to about 3 seconds of burntime, which allows it to get very fast very quick, and the sustainer lets it keep that energy. Thats why I love the Python 3. Because of its performance, 40Gs, great top speed, great acceleration, and consistent flare resistance. the Piranha on the other hand, has a slightly weaker motor, and no sustainer, totaling it to I think 2, maybe slighty less seconds of burntime, which restricts it to a very limited range. I believe it also has quite a bit of drag, especially while turning, so it loses energy pretty quick. The extra 5Gs of pull is also indistinguishable. Overall the Python is still significantly better, but in a headon with flareless planes, such as the F4C, F1, T2, etc, it will work just fine, but it will have some struggles rear aspect

@@batlax18 i dont think any ir missile in game has a sustainer besides the R-27et. Also, I checked the datamine and the piranha has the exact same flare resistance as the python 3 (in terms of range bands and seeker fov). I do love the python 3s however, but the piranha is definitely worse.

i love the MIG21, bis in an uptier is usable but not ideal. This thing in an uptier will be absolutely dire, new players thinking they'll grind the UK with it are in a world of pain... Even as bad as the F4 is it's still gonna be a better experience playing for new players. No good players are going to get the Mig as a grinder because we all know it's stupid

I'm going to buy the T80 because it will be my first Premium tank and it will help me a lot in my research, there is no problem in buying premium, only if you are addicted and bothered by everything

I’ll buy the Bison on sale simply because its a Bison. (I already have the grippen for Britain)

Bison at 12.0 for 75 bucks HELL NO!!!!!!!!!! oh whoops didn't see it got moved to 11.7 ah still 75 bucks NOPE wait for half price sale then maybe. Still either way 75 bucks is TOOOOooooo much for any premium vehicle and seeing how plenty of people buy them maybe I would think about it if Gaijin number 1 started updating the Anti cheat or put in that new one they were talking about. Also the game has so much that still needs to be fixed and its been years and stuff still isn't fixed so unless they strat stepping up there game no way 75 bucks not worth it till games taken care of better.

The joke is you will not face F-4S in it, UK is always on the blue side, red side already struggles at 11.7 (USSR doesn't even have any 11.7 fighters, all you have is a single SU25 at that BR), and now we get a MiG-21 with IRCCM, decent radar, and the good RWR and it's on the BLUE side. The devs forgot sim exists.

For me i would say 21 bis shouldnt be in 11.0, its flight performance is ok but the missile doesn't worth it when MM let 21bis needed to say hi to F16 F15 F14. The whole BR thing is.... Weird.

Either way the experience is gonna be unpleasant. Same thing for the F-100F with its irl loadout of AIM-9Ps not given but that BR is still viable enough.

@@ivanvukadin3194 trust me I know what they are but the 27r still has a wild amount of range compared to other missiles at 11.3 a 7m is comparable if not better though only marginally but all the planes its on cant take true advantage of it like a f 20 can. what im saying as someone who loves Russian equipment in this game. I cant look you in the face and say that the mig 21 is a entire battle rating below the f 20 and thats simply based on the weapons each can carry while you can get 4 good kills with a f 20 the mig 21s weapons hand you kills especially at 11.3 where you can out turn most things

The mig-21 bison is NOT BAD. It has an ATG radar, HMD radar, r73s, how is it bad? Especially at 11.7

I know everyone want the shiny new planes, but please take some time to enjoy the rest of the tech tree too, each era is played differently after all. The Meteors and Swift F.7 are both really fun jets, and the 5.7 and 6.7 Spitfires are good props

I agree with you jcool, but the reality is at this point many people download the game solely to play the modern vehicles. Especially with how Gaijin markets it, I can understand why so many people have no interest in having to grind out the older vehicles

@user-cf9mr2pn6x I know it's your choice of course with what interests you, it's just something to keep in mind. Britan is actually one of the trees that I think really shines away from 3rd generation+ jets

Premiums for 70+ Dollars should at least have all-aspect Missiles or somthing that makes them COMPETITIVE at an uptier. J-7D for example is one of the worst 70Dollar Premium. No all aspect missiles no Radar missiles weak engine and gets uptiered like 90% of matches. Its like Gaijin saying " hey gimme your money i got somthing "special" for you" and the moment u pay them 70 Dollars for a Plane like the J-7D youll get buttfcked by ANYTHING else on the BR u get matched without giving you the dignity of using a condom.

The J7D is fun at least and can work as a support fighter. Just play it like you would an F104. That being said I would love to see it go to 10.7 being it feels like a half way point between the MiG21MF and Bis.

Didn’t watch the video, only replying to the thumbnail. The answer is no, not worth it. No premium in the game is worth more than $30. Some of them don’t even deserve to be more than 10 bucks.

Author is completely detached from reality of the game, at top tier only thing that matters is weaponry, and Bison has 2 best missiles in the game. Nobody cares about platform(which is absolute UFO to begin with lmao), you have 2 100% kills and 2 50/50(and only because radar is currently fucked). Even at 12.0 it is bangers, as of last dev iteration it is 11.7 which is ridiculous because you can't possibly defend insanity of R-73 against 10.7 planes. Currently it is THE BEST value premium. You have HMD, you have best missiles in the game, workable radar to use them and good platform. bla bla bla turnrate, bla bla bla speed bleed, who cares when you will send poor bastard into oblivion with HMD and R-73.
