1:50 I think this is actually a bug with the command you're using to display the dog's health, possibly caused by the NBT changes. From my testing in today's snapshot, i found that an un-armoured dog can survive five crits with a sharpness 5 netherite sword.

they bugged every item that does damage to act and do damage like a gold sword, so all netherite tools including axes and hoes, tridents, and every other tool all do 4 attack damage with 1.6 attack speed.

This means that if dogs would have 5 hearts then the wolf armour would be as strong as a prot 4 netherite armour

The next layer of progression after tools and armor: Accessories: It Increases player’s stats like hit points, block reach, jump hieght, inventory slots… . An Additional heart icons will appear for the player. Accessories are crafted with blocks of ore (blocks of diamond, iron…) and unique loot from epic dungeons. They have levels just like tools and armor according to the ore it’s made of, just like armor and tools. They are spread through the dimension they are useful for, for example to craft the one who extends block reach, one should go to caves(trail chambers), adding inventory slots -> the end, adding breath points/bubbles oceans and adding hit points/hearts -> warden dimension… .

This update makes me no longer feel upset that the armadillo was added

wrong... dogs still being annoying and can't learn what mobs to attack. i aways kill every dog in minecraft... why? let's say you are transferring a rare trades villager, and you accidentally hit the villager making it with low health, WHAT THE BRAIN DEAD DOG WILL DO??? kill the villager... they also CAN'T DO LOOTING KILL'S OR BE USED TO KILL MOBS IN FARMS, except skeletons or sheep's, they will also kill rare mobs like the snow white fox

Dog Armor is good now, but its basically like a second health bar which you have to "repair" with specific items. for hearts its meat and the armor its the scales. Why not make it enchantable with mending?

How does the nbt change affect placed entities in existing worlds. Armor stands etc ..

I believe Thorns and some other certain damage types like "magic" damage ignore dog armor.

So what damage types does the armor not protect against? Do they still survive creeper explosions? If so (as that would be equivalent to blast protection), would it cover fire, projectile, and fall damage? (I expect damage potions and dragon's breath will ignore the armor of course.)

Player armor protects against being _in_ fire, but not against being _on_ fire. I would expect the list to be similar for wolve armor. It's mostly what makes sense, if you think about it. Armor protects from damage coming from the outside (like weapon hits), but not from the inside (like poison).

@@tapgames3465 True, it would be better if turtle scutes were able to be farmed as armadillo scute is now, with a brush. I think some balance would be in order, but I also think its better for the game to add more functionallity to already existing stuff that could use more, than to add superficial, shallow new stuff.

I am very meh about the UI changes. Doesn't really feel like vanilla mc with no texture packs anymore, its gonna take a while to get used to.

This video literally made me go "THANK GOD" It's honestly crazy they never updated the Dog from Beta 1.4. It's 1.20 now. Ten years to fix broken mechanics from the combat update that divided the Java community is kind of wild. I wonder what flavor skeleton they'll give us next.

dogs are gonna become iron golems with how tanky they are now lol that said if i do play survival again, i'm gonna raise an army and brew a ton of splash potions

Bog farm with a linked iron farm sounds kinda epic. Unlimited iron, use it to make shears for unlimited mushrooms, then kill the sheared bogs for bonemeal and poison arrows

The news article does not mention anything about dispensers nor why they chose not to make dispensers work. If this is just a guess masked as a fact, it's also a really bad guess, because: You can already grief other players wolfs in a much more severe way, using (more easily accessible) tools like a lava bucket or damn sword. It would be a temporary nuisance at most as you can remove dog armour you don't like easily using shears, or just by hitting your dog until the armour breaks, since they take 0 damage in the process, so why would they try to prevent that kind of "griefing". On a related note, why would they not allow dispensers to repair it then, is repairing another player's dog's armour also griefing? Or did they maybe just not think about adding it or maybe they want to add it later or maybe they want to see how the community reacts to the changes to dog armour thus far?

I really dont like the NBT changes, you cannot just use JSON validation anymore

the wolf armor is still so stupid in my opinion. I wish we got the crab instead of this stupid armadillo.

Just like Xisumavoid, Ray is using commands to see the dog's health, totally ignoring the fact, that there is an indicatior build into the game.
