Honestly, using socks straight out of the packaging could be worse than using worn, washed socks (of course the best possible option would be using unused socks after washing them) cause stores can be nasty, there were people touching that with hands not too clean. And even if it was clean, clothes straight from the store can have some chemicals still in them that for example flare my allergies. And so if there's something my skin can't handle in clothes straight from the store (like formaldehyde), there's no way it's be good for consumption

Fun fact: my family is from Puerto Rico (Hormigueros area around Mayagüez/San German) and brewing coffee in cotton socks is an old jibaro (country) tradition. Lol the coffee jelly situation is a classic case of not knowing what can and can't be substituted in a recipe. (I realize Morgan figured it out after the video, I just see this a lot when people try things they saw online and substitute ingredients, then say the recipe doesn't work.) Using vanilla pudding mix as a substitute for unflavored gelatin when making jelly is kinda like using a glazed donut as a substitute for spaghetti noodles when making pasta 😆

So, coffee painting is an actual thing. It is a real medium, comparable to watercolor or india ink painting. I did it a lot in high school and absolutely fell in love with it. Generally I just used a very high concentration of instant coffee to water, and then further diluted as needed directly with the brush on the pallet. By the end, the coffee leaves a very nice sheen on the paper as it dries, and you get some beautiful dimension out of it depending on your concentration. The hues are generally pretty warm, but also very moody. I made a painting inspired by Hamlet out of coffee once and gave it to my English teacher, and I really loved how it turned out.

The ice cube coffee is a favorite drink of mine from UCC called Kori Kohi. I regularly make it at home with cold brew ice cubes. I recommend using warm milk so that the coffee cubes melt faster and you get more coffee in the drink.

Hey Morgan! I've been binging your videos ever since I bought a French Press and watched your video on it! I was wondering if you could make a video kind of explaining all the different coffee names etc like espresso, americano.... i'm always so confused when i have to order in a café and you explain things so clearly, it would help lots!! All the love xxx

For anyone willing to try out painting with coffee, I've done a couple myself haha use aquarelle paper and try out diffrent coffees for example espresso or drip coffee. It will give you different effects.
