Reason the pebbles break down so much: They are extremely porous and have a crystalline structure inside. Unlike a thicker, denser cereal pebbles and krispies have very light, papery walls holding them together, the milk floods the porous surface and breaks down those thin walls, allowing the milk to penetrate deeper and deeper, combined with the cereal pieces being so small it means they become entirely saturated with the milk unlike a denser cereal such as cocoa puffs where you could bite into even a soggy piece and still find a partially solid core.

My wife and I were talking about what cereals we'd use before you showed your choices, and we agreed Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cocoa Puffs would be our first choices. A cereal I've not thought of for years comes to mind. Grape Nuts. That would be a good one to toast. Speaking of toasting, I wonder what Almond Milk made from toasted almonds would be like? Adding toasted ingredients when making the cereal milk? Maybe even adding something like coconut? Oh, the ideas are swimming in my head! Thanks for this video! Just what needed today! This makes me think about James Hoffmann's Donut Coffee recipe in how the flavor is added through the milk

So glad to have found this channel. Only 711,000 people did before me. Hah. Not that that matters, of course. Fun (and useful) content for the coffee lover. Cheers!

Looks delicious. For the cereals that are more structurally sound I think the boiling method might work better to break them down and infuse the milk. I would love to see a second round. Maybe with peanut butter captain crunch?

Cocoa pebbles might be a good one for chocolate flavor. Similar structure to fruity pebbles so it should infuse the milk nicely.

This is such a fun idea! I know it’s been mentioned already but I would like to see round 2 with cookies: Oreos, chips ahoy, honey gram crackers, Nilla wafers. Also how do the cereals/cookies effect steaming? Is a hot cookie latte good?

The best part of eating Fruity Pebbles as a kid was that delicious milk after I'd eaten all the cereal. Do they still make Peanut Butter Captain Crunch? I'd love to know how that one fares along with many of the others that folks have mentioned. I've been binging your content all day and I appreciate the quality videos. Thanks!

If you want a chocolate kick I think that cocoa pebbles would be great since they have the same structure as fruity pebbles
