Omg you are so awesome!! Glad i knew which video upload to look for lol.. i knew u definitely must have had a video on it. Lol It sparked my interest about morbius because of the movie preview .😃 supper interested in this character and getting to know his story.

Yes. I get to watch something while I'm at work. I bought the DM cover. I'm happy to see some Savage She-Hulk issues in this omnibus. Hopefully we can get complete Savage She-Hulk omnibus.

The flat spine is a problem on the thicker books like. If you look at a book like the Ladykiller Library Edition, it is a flat spine, but it still has a large eye. The key is that on thinner books, you don't need to secure the ribbon to both sides. If you look closely at the Ladykiller Library, the ribbon is only attached directly to the front cover. There is a gap between the end of the ribbon and the back cover and it is only attached to the back cover though the back cover page. Look at the NMC video for a clear demonstration @10:06: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dWlrzZJ9o8eyYsY.html This isn't a problem for Ladykiller since it is only 300 pages or so. With a 700 page omnibus, this is too much weight to attach to only one end. This is why the curved spine is needed. It gives the ribbon room to move while still being fixed to both covers. With a flat spine the ribbon can't move if it is attached to both covers directly.

Thanks for the overview! Any word on if the other restocks coming the same time-ish as Wolverine (Morbius, JMS Spidey 2, etc) will be rounded spine or still square?

Bro. If you have the subtitles on, instead of “what’s up all you minties?” It says “what’s up all you mentees?” I want a custom shirt that says “I’m a Mentee”.....which is ironic because it would be on a Men’s Tee...👍👍🤟.

Managed to get the DM of this one and I’m looking forward to checking out some older stuff w this character.

Hi omar as per the live stream I got mine but damaged. No exchange offered as it's hard to stock so got 60% off. Along with the error in surfer I have a bit of bad luck but for the price this book is excellent value but I got it for vampire tales only as I have the other books. Great video as always. Excelsior.

I don't get the flat spine. How does it differ from the curved every other book has? I've only got 7 issues left in this book and I've been enjoying it for the most part. Sadly, it's not Marvel's best work, which is a shame since he's one of my favorite characters, but then, they've never put their all into his stand alone stories. I hate how they kept changing writers and artists every few issues and because of it, the stories suffered. The ending to the first arc into Adventures into Fear sucked thanks to this. Vampire Tales was really good, but even that had some narrative issues. Nevertheless, I am so glad I could finally bite into his pre-90s material. I love how they keep the letter pages intact even for the Vampire Tales that did not include any Morbius stories. I am excited for the movie as Morbius is one of my top favorite Marvel heroes/villains. In fact, it and Halloween Kills were the movies I was looking forward to the most this year. I just hope Sony doesn't screw it up like they did with Venom and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Just received this. It was my most anticipated Omnibus. The front cover was badly torn at the top and bottom and I am actually nervous about reading it. Not sure whether to try anf fix it or have Amazon send me a new copy. Really not wanting to get anything else with a flat spine

Mine just arrived and, yeah... I forgot about that flat spine.

I haven't opened it yet... but I'm sure it would be OK. Just now getting the pages to lay flat on the rounded Super Sons Expanded omni... about 1/3 of the way into it.

ive seen on a couple of sites that theres is gonna be more stock? or another release of wolverine omnibus could this possibly be from different supplier with better spine becuase that would be amazing then maybe there would be replacments for this and other squarespines. i got wolverine squareback and it just didnt feel the same as other marvel omnis its one reason thinking of skipping this and the other question again is why omni of this and black widow but no black panther omni

So I'm a little confused. What is the difference between the covers? I'm looking at this on in-stock trades and it's showing the colorful, old school looking comic cover. I really enjoy that opposed to the flat black cover, but does it not come with a sleeve? What are the differences?

One is the Direct Market cover and the other Standard Edition. Standard edition is available everywhere. DM is only at comic stores or places like TOW, IST and CGN. Everything on the inside is the same.

Hey Omar,I think DC has announced a compendium for Starman,which is really really bad because those type of paperbacks are really unwieldy.Maybe you can tell DC guys not to go with the only compendium route

So... It doesn't have any of the actual Morbius Living Vampire comics in it? Why even have an omnibus with that name if it's not going to have any of those...

Not sure if I've missed this in a video or not, but have you asked or had any response as to why Marvel have started doing flat binds. It seems most are not a fan, and personally, I think they look worse on the shelf :/

Omar, I almost got the Adventure Into Fear yesterday but then I saw that it was issues of Fear #1-31. Issues 10-19 are already in the Man-Thing Omni, and the 20-31 are in this Morbius Omni. Am I missing something? I just found it odd to release an Omni that we currently have 1/3rd available on the market and a 1/3rd out of print, but still available.

My copy is on the way, but I enjoyed watching this video. I bought halfheartedly, not 100% sure, but now I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks, Omar! I passed on the new Adventures in Fear omnibus, because I have this Morbius omnibus, the Man-Thing omnibus, the two Kirby and two Ditko Atlas horror / monster omnibuses. Is there anything unique to this omnibus? (I don't know why they selected this for the omnibus format, instead of doing omnibuses of the original Tales of Suspense, Journey Into Mystery, etc.) Also, is the second volume of JMS Spider-man out of print or is it being rescheduled? I can 't find any info on this, but I'm sure it's out there.

What is the difference between the two versions he displays in the video? I'm currently looking at this omni on in-stock trades and it's the comic strip style cover that he shows on the left side around the 1:30 mark.

Looks good to me, but I plan to get the Adventures into Fear Omni instead for sure, which has quite a chunk of this book in it amongst other goodies. I'm a little confused as to whether the upcoming Marvel Horror Lives Again will also include some of the same Morbius tales. Do you happen to know? I'd appreciate your expertise!

Black Window, the first batch of Wolvie reprints, JMS spidey 2 and this one had flat spines. It was a temporary printer that did these. they’ve gone back to curved spines.

Black Widow Omni, now this Morbius Omni, like.. Who asked for these?! 😒 LOL. Come on Marvel, give us Black Panther, Nova, Ant-Man Omnis! 🙏
