Backed this, it was just delivered. I’ve worked in board game development, currently own 200+ games and this is one of the best productions ive seen. Simple, slick, strategic, outstanding minimalist art direction, great box, insert, card quality. Clear as crystal well layed out manual, and one of the best developer made “how to play” videos ive seen. The mix of solo/co-op/competetive is insanely hard to pull off, but they nailed it here. POV your looking for timestamps: Objectives: 1:03 Player turns 1:30 Contracts 1: 1:40 (types of contracts and overview). Contracts 2: 2:09 (requirements) Contracts 3: 2:54 (hazard dice) Contracts 4: 3:35 Rewards contracts 5: 4:16 allies if necessary and negotiate rewards and whoever joins in must roll one of the amounts of hazard dice Contract 6: 5:03 Attempting a contract, roll hazard dice before you do anything, and play reactors first for action deck cards. Buy phase: 8:00 use this to end your turn and to get ship parts and crew. you can also discard an armory card and replace it for one credit. End and next turn goes to next person: 9:27 draw till you get 5 action cards and shuffle discard if necessary 12:15 stay at base: get one credit, you don't get to attempt contracts, discard a contract card buy picking one of the 8 faced up ones and put it at the bottom of the contract pile and buy whatever you want. 12:50 MISC rules:

@@austinharrison2463 I was really impressed with the quality of components in the demo I played, and I'm pleased to say that the production copy's quality is just as high. In particular I just love the metal coins. They just feel great to handle. Unfortunately due to COVID I haven't been able to get together with my friends to play it yet, but I look forward to introducing them to it!

Thanks! I just got it in the mail, plus the micro expansion! I presume, if you do assist someone on their turn, and you use some of your cards, do you draw back up to 5 or are you stuck with no cards when it comes to be your actual turn? EDIT: never mind, I found the relevant text in the rule book. All involved in an attempt discard and draw back to 5 cards.

In the german rulebook you wrote that i can spend 1 coin to discard one or any number of ship or crewmember cards (buying phase). Is that right?

Just played my first solo game. Overall a fun little experience. A couple of questions the rules aren't 100% clear on: 1 When playing a Crew card from your hand that has an ability like for instance AT-0K: "Play as damage... ". Does that mean playing that card no longer counts towards the number of Crew needed to fulfill a contract? 2 When playing solo with the mercenary deck, it doesn't say anything about how the Hazard Dice on any contract is divided - let's say I can play 2 out 3 shields, and I "buy" the last shield from the mercenary deck. Can I then push 1 out of 2 Hazard dice over onto the mercenary? Since one shield comes from them? Or do they just count all together towards negating ALL hazard dice rolled by me?

Hey Chris, glad to hear it! #1 It counts as both (it must be played as the crew to activate the change). #2 Mercenary cards do not give you their bonuses (other than crew) they only reduce requirements. Hope this helps!

@@adriang6259Its pretty good. Nothing like munchkin though. At all. I really don't understand where people are getting this comparison. You must be fundamentally misunderstanding some rule.

For the ship parts like the one in the video (swarm mk1) can they be used more than once per turn? Swarm mk1 says discard a damage 1 from your hand for +2 actions. Does that mean if I have two damage one cards I can essentially have 4 more actions?

Hello IV Games ! I have a question aout a mechanic in the game and couldn't find an answer in the manual(i could have missed it^^) there is an effect in a ship card that says : "thrash a damage 1 from your hand, requirement for damage is 3 less" Can this be used several times in the same turn ? or does it only work once for the first damage card you thrash ? (and btw, thrashing here means it's out of the game and doesn't go in your discard pile right ?) Thank you so much, enjoying the game so much now ;). have a great day

Hello! If a card does not say "Once per Contract" it can be activated more than once! Yes, trash means remove from your deck/return to the box.

Cards purchased might have a card to put in discard pile. Logo on top right?

The shields i played to completed the contract also works to prevent the hazards? Don't need to play more shields specifically for Hazards, right?

That is correct! All shields perform both actions simultaneously. The only exception are cards that 'reduce shield requirements' of contracts. Reducing a shield requirement does not equal playing a shield.

Can another player only agree to ally if they have the right cards needed or can they go in on an alliance and "sabotage" a contract by not having the cards they claim to have?

@@elliottdegrace517 If you fail a contract, all the cards that are played gets discarded. The objective card is discarded and replaced with a new one. No rewards are claimed. The active player skip the buy phase. Then the next player goes.

I can't find the How To Setup video you mentioned.

when you attempt a contract but don't manage to get the cards to fulfil it, do you still receive the damage rolled at start of attempt?

Hey folks, we just had a game but we ran into a problem with the Kary Powalk "all players damage cards are +1" and Dark Matter Mk3 ship part "play a damage 1 and damage 2 to deal 5 damage"......so if someone played Kary first would they receive 7 points for playing the 1 & 2 damage cards (now worth 5) but all damage cards are +1.. Is that how this would work?

They would do 6 damage! Your playing the 1 and 2 together.

a doubt, if I roll the dice, as an ally, and suffer 2 hazard but I can't avoid it, I don't have shields, and I only have 1 prestige point to lose, wouldn't the contract be complete? Did we fail the mission?

Hazard won't affect your completing the mission, just your victory points (Prestige) after the mission. If you played all the needed cards you would just end the turn at 0 Prestige unless you were getting more than 1 as a reward.

when i play a thruster card i have to draw 2 cards or i may draw 2 cards? it's a must draw 2 cards?

Must draw 2 cards! Only exception is if you are literally out of cards in your draw pile and Discard pile (all of your cards are played).

What happens if a contract doesn't get fulfilled? Are you not allowed to take contracts UNLESS you have the amount of requirements? Or can you negotiate one person gets all the profit and hazard dice, as long as someone joins, and then sabotage them?

You can choose any of the 6 displayed contracts available to you to attempt to win the contract. However, not all contracts will be a solo contract. If it is a contract you wish to complete because of either the amount of currency or Prestige you can enlist the help of the other players to help you complete them. When you select a contract and it doesn't work out then the contract goes to the bottom of the draw deck. Then the player will proceed to the buying phase. Other players can aid you by playing the requirements to achieve that contract. You can negotiate who will take the hazard, # of profits and or prestige. There will be potential sabotagers because of objectives. Each player has their own objectives. Typically, people won't sabotage because they will lose the rewards, unless they are trying to complete the objectives. You can have as many players to join in the temporary alliance to complete the contract. There is no limit as long as you all agree on how to split the rewards.

Hey devs, when an objective card says (1) "play at least 4 reactors cards on the same contract" does that mean you yourself have to play 4 or the combined reactors from all allies on the mission?" Also (2) after an objective is completed, does it go in a discard pile or under the deck?

When looking to ally on a contract are the players haggling to join allowed to specify exactly how much of each requirements they can help with? I've played a few times and the way we play you can say which requirements you can help with - but not the exact amount. Leading us to haggle confusingly "I can help with most of the reactors, and a little bit of thrusters - with potential for more if I draw them", instead of simply stating "I can help with 3 of the reactors, and at least one thruster, possibly more". I can't remember quite where we got this from, but it doesn't feel quite right. Is this the correct ruling?

Tf? Did you ignore the rules that say players can't mention how many of a certain card they have, or the person who's turn it is only allowed to pick a maximum of two cards to negotiate over before having to attempt the 2nd one?

The game is great and easy to learn, but this tutorial is terrible. It explains just most of the rules, but not all of them, so you either spend some time mid-game going through instructions, or you will miss them and maybe ruin the experience. The video would be longer by maybe 3-5 minutes, but I guess it was more important to sell the game than to provide aid for the players.
