A former employer owned an M20, and I got to fly in it a couple of times. Mooneys just seem to be more refined, and boy did it move along, considering it was a four place with only 200hp. What I find interesting is how you basically have to “push” it down to the runway on landing, because of its efficiency. If I had the budget, I would love to own one.

@@aerolife1646 sure, here you are 19:30 This might be indeed air for the cockpit but I really doubt. Most complex aircrafts I know of that have alternate air is a second source of air for the engine that bypasses the air filter in case it is clogged with ice or debris...etc Obviously, needs to be used only if primary air source causes the engine to run rough due to lack of air because the air is not filtered using the alternate air and could absorb fod or debris, dust...etc During engine runnup, the alternate air needs to be tested when the engine is running at 1800 or 2000 RPM, whatever the RPM needed for the runnup. Activating the alternate air should cause a drop of RPM and sligth decrease of manifold pressure. If this is really that, do not train buyer saying it is extra air for the cockpit because they could use it in the worse moment (during taxi) and could damage the engine. As usually stated, please refer to the POH 😁

You're not shoving your knowledge into people's faces but at the same time it becomes very obvious that you do know what you're talking about..... Experience shows... .. however I do have one complaint.... You need to tell us what the prices of the airplanes are because most people are going to be put off by the fact that if they don't see the price they're going to automatically assume that that person wants a hell of a lot of money for that plane .... For myself if I don't see a price I don't deal with it....... It's got to do with wasted time.

When a plane is available for sale we have a listing on our website and a link in the video description for people to go there. The price is usually right at the top of the page so people can see it as soon as they go to our site.

It's nice having Turbo but only if your flying at high altitude but that's slot of maintenance costs during annuals. What's the average cost of this Mooney? I just had my annual on my C model and I can almost bet that the cost I paid is probably half to what it would cost for this Mooney. I love the Mooney don't get me wrong, I would pick Mooney over Piper or Beech any day of the week and twice on Sunday but owning this Mooney a person almost needs to have money coming out their ears compared to my C model.

It costs more to operate and maintain Turbo airplanes compared to normally aspirated. In airplanes, it is always a trade-off. But these models are better designed. They don't need a mid-time top overhaul like most others. Also, automatic wastegate help to get the best out of the turbo.
