thanks, I've just updated my Grandmother to the newest version; I was only startled by it not rebooting properly after the first time, so had to do it again (the manual says you should try it several times if it doesn't work immediately)

Glad I could help. Firmware updates via MIDI do tend to be a bit dodgy sometimes.

Did you have to do in between updates? Or where you able to go to the latest update right away? Only asking because my matriarch has never been updated since it was purchased when it first was released. Just never had a computer to do it. Any help will do!

@@mackmccord3743 Sorry for the delayed reply. I missed this when you first asked. Since each update erases the old firmware completely and fully reinstalls the latest, you don’t need to worry about interim updates. Just go with the latest available.

hi. thx for the video i downloaded the snoiz as you said but i cant open the files in and i dont have this play button like you . i cant even select the granmother above as you did in the video. what can i do now??

Your Mac should see the GM as soon as they are connected via USB. Try another cable. If you’re connecting through an interface like a Focusrite, then you would select the Focusrite. Make sure your files have been extracted from the zip file and that you’re looking in the right folder.

i got it already. thank you. this video was really helfull. i asked moog and they didnt response too....such a shame!!! so now thank you i got 1.06 firmware on my grandmother!

Hello sir Im having a problem ive downloaded the software but it's no picking up my Grandmother as a source at all. Its not available in the drop down menu and I'm connected via USB

Make sure everything is turned on then plug in the cables. If it still doesn’t show up, try a different USB cable. As a last resort maybe try a regular MIDI cable. Beyond that we can’t help as we’re not computer specialists. You might try customer support for the software. It could also be a possible issue if you’re version of iOS is too old, or too new causing compatibility issues. (We’re still on Catalina.)

Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
