“Mood Lifters - A Tribute to Rush” is a Southern California Rush Tribute Band formed in 2021. The band’s focus is on the faithful recreation and performance of songs from all eras of Rush’s career, “from first to last.” Every song is on the table, and the band performs the classics and deep cuts with tremendous energy and care.
Mood Lifters are:
Rocky Kuner - vocals;
Isamu Kakitani - bass guitar, keyboards, pedals;
Ben King -- guitar;
Mat Miranda -- drums & percussion.
Each of the Mood Lifters is a lifelong fan of Rush and has played Rush’s music in other Rush tribute bands or otherwise.

Christians in the south think they are devil worshippers, lol.
For me Patty PerShayla who was with YYNOT has the most authentic Geddy vocal sound , especially on the early stuff. But rocky has her own style which I like also. Both bands are exceptional and the Rush legacy lives on.

As much as I loved Rocky with that other group, she seems so much happier with MLs. She still kills Rush no matter what. She crushes whatever she does. Those guys backing her are pretty good too 😂

Also check out the website for RUSHFest Scotland, happening in your town in May! Great event will bring together a lot of tributing talent, and our guitarist Ben will be at the event! Maybe Rocky too, but not sure about that.

Rather flawless'! When I first saw crappy cellphone recordings of Mood Lifters I thought they were not as good as YYN**. However, with these new high-quality vids with high-quality sound, it is clear the musicians are every bit as good of musicians, in some ways better, and Mood Lifters has Rocky! YY, on the other hand, does NOT . . . have Rocky, that is ;-)

nice to have 4 camera angles. At least we can see Mat do some of his magic. I just wish you could come up to the Duluth MN area .. Summers are great there and they are North of Toronto CA. As am I. We are the great white north! with a couple feet of snow on the ground yet.

Guitar part needs to be a bit more staccato. That's what sets the song apart. Good job Rocky. Better than ever. Good on the bass particularly with the pedals. Very accurate. You got the staccato right at the end after the solo - ok good job.

Santa Fe Springs, CA (LA area) -- we played there on Feb. 18, 2023.
I guess this kind of begs the question - if Rocky is playing the same rush songs why did she leave YYNot? The guys in the band are around the same age if not older.

It's now been over two years since she left that band. She has moved on and is happy playing with us and doing shows around her new solo EP as well (called "Cosmic Self & the Mystery," if you are curious!).
