Terry Gilliam's animations on Monty Python's Flying Circus, were what attracted me to watching Monty Python in the first place, when I was a kid.

Yeah, I prefer the original MPFC original ending to the carriage animation too than this version from the movie. The censor lady’s voice is still funny for consistency’s sake, but the echoey old man voice from the original is just more weirder, which I feel makes the payoff of FC’s version a little bit funnier. And I do miss the censor stamp of the original Figleaf sketch too. Speaking of the original baby carriage animation, who was that guy? Was it an older censor? Was it God himself as interpreted by Terry Gilliam?

Inspired! No doubt one bit with the pram and the last bit was a dig at one Constance Mary Whitehouse, who was running a campaign to Clean Up Television (almost Clean Up National Television, lol) around the time the animation was made. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Whitehouse

These sound different from what I remembered from pbs when I was a kid. I think the voices were redubbed. The Michelangelos David crotch voice was completely different, the original voice was a man.

Maybe it was altered for pbs when you saw it as a kid to be "family friendly and this is the original. 🤔 I don't actually know but could be that way round too.
