What a beauty, looks like an RPM Tech HS3000 rotary blower.

Ha ha, I love your excitement for the L9's! We still have 3 L8000 Single axle dumps, but man, they are getting tired! You guys musta got hammered with the snow, having the blower go through and still plowing up that much afterwards!

Yeah i always like those rigs. I even briefly rode in a 95 Areomax wrecker last year, and not surprisingly she was retired a few months after due to serious rust, and likely a mechanical breakdown.

I know all of your vid, but this is the fastest blower I've seen. YT now also suggests older vids from you, but what kind of machine is that?

Never seen a snow blower like that. Great catch.

It's a RPM Tech Blanchet snow blower. Popular in the early 90's ish.

This is a single stage snow blower. Usually they are not used for street clearing because they are more dangerous. If a rock gets in there, it will fly like a cannon ball.

This is, in fact, not typically the best way to remove snow banks from a street with cars still parked! Ideally, the foreman's pickup truck cruises the streets blasting a siren to warn residents of the imminent snow removal crew. If cars are not driven away, they are towed to the nearest available spot--often blocks away. Then sidewalk and street plows push the snow toward the curb, finally followed by the blower and dump trucks. This team was either in a rush or ignored the rules. Worst of all, in some neighbourhoods, they'll blow the snow onto your lawn where it will stay until the Spring thaw!

In Montreal, they just can’t. So half street is the way to go.
