Monticello Live: Jefferson & Franklin
Ойын-сауық
From Philadelphia in 1776 to Paris in the 1780s, Thomas Jefferson spent time in the august company of his “great and dear friend” Benjamin Franklin. Born more than a generation apart and differing on some issues like slavery, they were nevertheless great companions and intellectual colleagues.
In this week’s livestreams we’ll explore the relationship between Jefferson and Franklin and its impact on the early Republic. First up, join us on Tuesday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m. EST for a live Q&A with Thomas Jefferson, interpreted by Bill Barker, and Benjamin Franklin, interpreted by Bill Robling.

Binge watching Mr. Jefferson (and Dr. Franklin) from Istanbul. A worthy allocation of time.
Fantastic! These two make a remarkable pair, what a treat to drop into rambling conversation with them both.
A great illuminating discussion....more, more!
WOW this was wonderful. These men bring Jefferson and Dr. Franklin to life. I felt like I was their presence for real. I enjoyed this conversation so much
I do love this portrayal of Franklin. It's charming.
Love this format…both presentations are very much to my liking 👏🏻. Your dialogue gives us such very fine snippets of detail…intriguing and so Early Americana in depiction(s). Enjoying these actors immensely, thank you gentlemen AND ladies as I watch your other productions…
I greatly enjoyed this
Two great giants! Thank you for such an informative session.
It’s sad that Ben Franklin wasn’t in Hamilton the musical
Drop the masks we have in the old country
This Ben Franklin sucks.
