Love that you added the tulips, what a wonderful personal touch to this ceremony! This was always a favorite moment in the class-the birthday child felt so proud, and his or her friends were so interested in hearing their stories. It was extra special when mom or dad or both could join the class for the ceremony too. So happy to see more and more families sharing this tradition online!
The earth goes around the sun! This birthday celebration is probably what my children remember most from primary Montessori school and I enjoyed those special visits as well. I think my adult children would still be quite willing to do this on their birthdays. Thanks for brining back those memories.

I wondered as I was watching, if you had spoken to her about it before and if so how did you prepare her For it. I heard of a few preparations like a week or a day before with poems, stories and night time verses…. Did you do any of those? Thank you ❤️

I’m so excited to hear that. It really is a beautifully simple ceremony, but I feel that that is what makes it so special. My daughter actually started at age 2 because she noticed her older brother had a Montessori bday, so of course she wanted one too. I would love to see pictures if you decide to do it too ❤️
