    Yesterday a Montessori video showed up on my feed. Never heard of it before but it makes so much sense. I've always felt that in today's society we don't give babies enough credit for their ability to be independent. Also I went from looking at a 500 pottery barn crib to now figuring out how to make my own floor bed for my little one when he or she comes. I loved this video and will definitely try the dyi videos.

    Love this! So many people don’t understand the baby starts learning from the second brain activity starts. My in-laws were always telling me I spend so much time on my newborns. The rest of the family puts their babies in a swing or rocker and would come back when the baby starts crying. We read books, talked, played, and interacted constantly. It’s so important! Great video! I think I’m going to make my mobile this time and do a dyi video on it. My kids have broken 3 of them and you’re right, they get soooo expensive! Awesome video! 🥰

    YES!! 🙌🏻 I refrained from plopping Kylie in any “devices” once I learned about Montessori. I got rid of the few we had. I was sooo hesitant to get a swing for Mis this time, but we literally ONLY use it for one or two of her daytime naps, and then she’s right back out. The only device I put her in regularly is my carrier (and even then, not all the time) where she can see me and I talk to her constantly. So I couldn’t agree with you more! Thanks for watching! 😊

    Hapa Family we have a swing that was gifted to us but we only used it a few times. Neither one of our girls liked it. Probably because they got way more attention while not in it 😂😂. They didn’t like the carrier either but I’m determined to try again with #3

    @@yashodamendiratta4034 It’s really bold and rude to wrongly accuse someone of lying... 🧐 If you actually take a moment to re-read what I wrote above, you’ll see that there isn’t a “lie” at all. I very clearly stated that I stopped putting her into any devices “once I learned about Montessori” (which was at six months) - and this is consistent with everything I’ve ever talked about in the past in any of my other videos.

    Thanks for watching! It is so true though, about the respect thing. I remember reading an article not too long ago that compared it to an adult having a giant walk into their room in the middle of the night, having their covers ripped off of them, their legs lifted up into the air, and their butt wiped. It talked about how startling that would be, and to imagine how a baby feels! 😂

  • @NewAbbySquirrel333

    @NewAbbySquirrel333

    Жыл бұрын

    I've not heard of this, but after paying attention to what my baby seems to like in the first two weeks, we actually only half-swaddle during the day to keep his hands free for stretching and self-soothing, and only fully swaddle during what we consider his "bedtime" hours. The bedtime swaddle calms him enough to sleep most of the night, and the daytime half-swaddle lets him nap but also lets him stretch out and experience his immediate environment when he's awake. I'm only a first-time mom, so I have no idea if this is good or not, but it's what he seems to enjoy so we're just along for the ride. If it works for our baby, maybe it works for others?
