Montauk, fishing under the Light!
Took a trip to Montauk. Slept in the car for two days and grind it out for a pretty good bite under the light.
The fall run has begun and what a great way to spend some time with a friend.

9:51, was waiting for that guys rod to explode from high sticking that fish! Not the preferred technique lol!
That town was always my favorite place on earth. Unfortunately it’s changed these last several years. The pretentious scumbags from the Hamptons have infected it.

😂 yea seems like a very nice place
Dude I’m not sure but it looks like you hook your lures into the guide when walking. Wasn’t sure so I paused and blew up the picture. It sure looks that way. That’s a sure way to put a crack in your guide and then cut your line when it gets caught in the crack. Put the hook on the foot of the guide, not the actual guide. You’re welcome😂.

lol . I put them on the side of the guide where the arm reached the guide but not the actual guide. Thanks for the tip though .
I’m going to NJ
No wait another pic looks like you have the hook in the guide foot. Hard to tell for sure.
They changed the light. I think its harder to land fish now compared to the way it used to be

Let me know if you ever come fish the Cape Cod canal. Maybe we can fish a tide or 2 together.

Yea that’s on the bucket list for next year. Heard it’s pretty good but very different conditions
Out of all that you caught, how many were within that 3" window? I have to say, that fighting with the rocks when getting slammed by waves would wear me thin pretty fast! Glad you had a blast with no banged up body parts! LOL
