Can it be used on metals? I am planning to customize my kickped
@Blick_Art

+junn zhu Yes, it can be used on metal as long as the correct primer is used before the base color is applied and if it is going to be exposed to a lot of use, be sure to use a good quality varnish too. You will want to use the Metal Primer here: www.dickblick.com/products/montana-primer-sprays/ first and then apply the base color (We recommend staying within the Montana line of paints). Then for a varnish we would recommend several coats of the Montana Varnish: www.dickblick.com/products/montana-varnish-sprays/ .
I realize the pattern will somewhat vary the amount of product but approximately how many square feet will a can cover for a medium pattern. For example would it do a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood?

Montana does not offer coverage ratings for their Marble Effect Spray because there is such a variance in application methods. If used somewhat sparingly, you could achieve a marble effect on a 4” x 8” sheet of plywood, but to ensure you have enough to cover the board the way you want, it would be recommended to get two cans.
the color looks very dark. Is it just the tip or a special can of paint? Is there a grey for veining on a white back ground?

+jludtxs The paint is unique in that it allows it to “string” as it comes out of the can. It comes with the calligraphy tip that also helps with the patterning. Right now, Montana only offers this product in three colors - Black, White, and Silver. They can be found here: www.dickblick.com/products/montana-marble-effect-spray/ If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. @Blick_Art

+Jean-Paul boulay Yes, but it needs to be fully dried and completely cured. we would recommend waiting at least a week before coating it with the resin. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Nice

Could I put clear coat over this?I would like to use this for my guitar.
@Blick_Art
7 жыл бұрын
+bobby jones While Montana does make a varnish spray that would be compatible with their Marble Effects Sprays, it would be a good idea to experiment with this before doing on a guitar. If you were going to use another type of clear coat (like nitrocellulose lacquer, which is common for guitars,) testing would be even more important to ensure there wouldn’t be some undesirable reaction.

Could it be used on a marble fireplace

We don't think this would produce a durable finish on a surface exposed to high temperatures. There are specialty coatings made especially for fireplaces. Hope this helps!
Can this be used on fabric? Like tool?
@Blick_Art
8 жыл бұрын
+Cherry Suicide It is not recommended to be use on fabrics that will be washed. That being said, if you are applying it to canvas or a decorative piece that contains fabric, then that would be acceptable. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Can you use this on tshirts and caps?
@Blick_Art
8 жыл бұрын
+Tugba Özhan Like the Montana Glitter, you will need to do some testing of your own to determine its longevity on fabric. Because it is an acrylic based paint it will be semi-permanent on fabric but it is likely it will eventually wash out. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
would this work on laminated furniture?
@Blick_Art
8 жыл бұрын
+Cynthia Rodriguez Yes, it will work on laminated furniture. If it is on a surface that gets a lot use or wear, be sure to seal the surface with several coats of varnish. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Can this be used on glass? Is it permanent, or would it smear off when cleaning the glass?
@Blick_Art
8 жыл бұрын
+Joe Smith You can use on glass. In general it will be permanent, but if you use strong cleaning agents (stronger than soap and water or windex) it can soften. It can also be scratched or scrapped off with a razor blade. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Sorry, I watched again and got my answer
Could this be used on cultured marble to change the appearance
@Blick_Art

It would not be recommended to use such a product on cultured marble. An epoxy paint would be required, though we do not carry such a product at this time.
