I know this man personally.... I've had a chance to spend some time with him, and let me just tell you, that his story IS very real. He is one of THE MOST kind hearted, considerate, and respectful man,, I've ever had a pleasure meeting!!!!!! American idol messed up letting him go!!!! Sorry Douglas!! Love you man!

I agree , they sure did mess up. I really think that if they work with him a little more, he would of been one of the world's best singers. That's so heart braking they cut him short. Our loss.

He’s so endearing. When he tripped over the mat and said “yeah buddy” to himself , also when he said “that’s awesome.” Made me laugh so hard. That voice is gold and has so much feeling. Looking forward to watching his journey.

This is a perfect man.. he doesn’t know.. so he can be taught everything!! He can already cross off singing with luke! Amazing!

He is so humble. I like his singing, I like his attitude and I like his wittiness. He can make it all the way because he is genuine.

It’s too bad he got cut so quick. He was better than a lotta other singers who stayed a lot longer!

Doug is from my hometown. He auditioned here in Mobile, AL but didn't make it through. He didn't give up though so, he auditioned again in Baton Rouge, where he did make it through. He was then asked to perform in front of the judges in Savannah, GA and, that's where he received his official golden ticket :)

I love how they worked with him with this audition and so open to helping him. Now you should check out his latest audition under American Idols account, if you haven’t already. It was posted a day ago. Won’t give any spoilers.

I love these Montana guys! Their comments are sensible and kind - they don't bash people just for the sake of being mean. They mention if they see shortcomings but they do it in a way that allows people to keep their dignity. I think they're great !

Guys, you should see the work Doug has been putting on YT the last few weeks. Amazing stuff!

You have to remember Lionel has adopted his friend's daughter to raise as his own...so I'm sure he'd be on board.

What impressed me was how Luke Bryan recognized what was there, coached him even though Doug didn’t really know how to respond and got such a great response. Big kudos to Luke for coaching him and to Doug for figuring it out.

They promised him that they would help him through this and they were not there for him! And it broke my heart! Bc he deserved to be there,they gave others chances that didn't shouldn't be there!

He is perfect and congrats to the judge who helped him.

This man is all heart and this world isn’t big enough. I love seeing people like this that make it to the top. Very few do tho is the sad of it all . Most try and try but end up just filling that spot in life’s circle instead of living life.

I love you guys!!!!! I watch the channel all the time! Please keep doing what you guys do. Because little do you know, it helps a lot to see people with similar issues. You both have beautiful spirits and a beautiful relationship. Keep being great 😘

The best part for me is that when Luke jumped on the piano Doug says he doesn’t know how to follow along but “I can try.” And then says it again when Like asks him if he can hit the note... that is my mantra for this year. I can try.

Yes! He is! They should gave him more chances! They gave others chances that didn't shouldn't be there! I wish he could collaborate with Chris Stapleton .. I lived when he sang #brokenroad I felt like they were not nice to him and I didn't like that! It broke my heart ..

Yes, he can sing. He needs that music coach that Luke was giving him yet doesn't happen for the rest of AI. He has it all to be the "music man." Just seeing your channel for the first time....handsome men with gorgeous eyes and most importantly being real, current, forward.... MONTANA, in my opinion, is the most beautiful state I have ever been within the USA. Edit: Hope you guys have followed his channel and seen the hardwork he is putting in.....plus all the fans he has gained, keeping his promises.....He needs the The Voice not American Idol

The best thing with someone who doesnt know what to do doesnt have any bad habits. Coaches can mould him into anything and help him grow properly. Willing to listen and learn shows hunger for wanting to make something of himself. Hes got the voice and the coaches have someone who they can bring out everything he needs.

Ok so this brought me to tears for a few reasons but the main reason is because I've wanted to be a singer since i was 4 yrs old i had a fake microphone and everything lol i used to write songs i had a folder i kept them in when i was a teenager. My dream was to become a famous singer and i had people telling me left and right when I'd go to kareoke that i had a beautiful voice and should go on american idol but it never happened. Katy perry is one of my inspirations her music has helped me alot especially the song firework. And so watching this got me very emotional because i wish that was me on that stage like when kelly clarkson who's also one of my inspirations won american idol i bawled like a baby. But I'm 42 now with alot of health problems and i lost my son and my fiance' so that dream is gone. I still sing in my apt i belt it out because it helps with my depression. Music is my passion and if it wasn't for music i don't think i would be here today to tell you this. Anyways i love your content you guys always brighten my day so thank you for that. Maybe you could react to some auditions of the voice i met blake shelton years ago at a bar where i did kareoke and i almost fainted because i was singing martina mcbrides broken wing and he came up to me afterwards and said i had a beautiful voice and that i should come be on "team blake" i got light headed not gonna lie lol blake is one of my favorite country singers. He then said dang hows a powerful voice like that come outta you you're so tiny and i am I'm 4'11 and 115 pounds lol i said giggling i don't know you'd have to ask the man upstairs that one. He was so down to earth and an all around nice guy such a pleasure to meet him. I will never forget that night. Because it was so much fun and meeting him was the icing on the cake. I'm gonna stop ramblin now. Just wanted to share my story with you all. Thank you wyo russ for just being you. Hope you all have a wonderful day💖💖💖😀😀😀 also i think that guy has a really good voice and i think he'll go far. And i can't wait to see up coming reactions from you guys from him.
