Recently got into archery. I live alone in interior Alaska, and always wanted to become a hunter but mental health issues have kept me fearing ever having a gun around me. A few weeks ago I finally decided to go into my local bow shop and had them set me up with a bow, a release and some arrows, and a couple accessories for my bow (sight, rest, and quiver). Bought myself a foam target and started shooting in my yard. First at 10 feet, then 10 yard, then 20, now 40 (running out of space now)… and I AM ADDICTED!!! Shooting hundreds of arrows a day since I got my bow, improving with every repetition, and loving every moment. Shooting my bow brings a calmness about me that I haven’t felt in many years. Mathews Inc. gives Chris Bee a new bow every year to test and provide feedback, before it even is released to the public. So now you know, this dude is a master and have some good backups.

Man, Chris works so hard and deserves stuff like this - what a freaking bull.

Absolutely Montana hunters keep they're stomping grounds close to the chest! Just moved to Montana and would love to know where this is - Saw some herd bulls this year but they were in elk beyond anything you could imagine!👍

Man is it tough learning completely by yourself. Absolutely nobody to help me except podcasts and youtube. If I somehow make it happen this season... I think it will be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.

As someone who bought a bow back in January. Trying to spot and stalk mule deer has proven extremely challenging. Never feel like I’m able to get in range with a good shot opportunity. So I feel this. Ha

That feeling is irreplaceable, I got the chills sitting on the couch watching congrats dude! Love to see the hard work come full circle for you.

They want that instant gratification with everything, they don't realize in reality the 3-4 days stalking and learning is building up that anticipation..and then you get one shot to manifest your goal. This next generation has zero drive or understanding of perseverance

So stoked you had an experienced guy calling & helping out, makes the world of a difference for an elk hunter. Up in Idaho there’s no way I could find a clear 80 yard shot, had a MEGA bull at 17 yards this year and still didn’t have a shot it’s so thick. Congrats man, elk hunting is a whole other level.

This year wasnt my first time hunting elk but it was my first time archery hunting in general. It was a really awesome experience. Being out hearing and experiencing elk hunting like that is amazing. Grats on an amazing bull.

Congratulations! I went on my first rifle deer hunt ever last week. I enjoyed it so much that I'm picking up my first compound bow today. Im really excited about learning how to shoot a bow so I can hunt with it next year.

"IS HE DEAD??" LOL, Chris, I think he was dead buddy, congrats! The things we say when jacked up! My first (hunt) encounter ever with an elk was in 2005 and my cousin took me, the first night we got a giant coming in just screaming and my cousin says "he's coming, go up 75 yards and get ready".... Me sounding very stupid says "then what do I do?".... My Cousin laughing says "well shoot the damn thing"!!!! It took us a few more years but we were together when I shot my first bull and it was a 340" giant! What an awesome bull, experience, and video! Congrats!!!!
