Good that they provide an instructional video, but this is nothing like the instructions in the box. Also it doesn't show fitment of the front guard. Weak.

👨‍🔧🤷‍♂️🛠🚲 Maybe I'm a bit dum, but I cannot understand how to set it properly on the frame of the bicycle: rear wheel always touch chez mudguard! A better video with some explanations in English/German/French/Spanish would be useful for me 😜

Hello, I am running 700 x 35c marathons on a Genesis Vapour which has cantilever brakes, would these fenders fit or would hte cantis be an obstruction? Presumably its the 45mm ones i'd need?

Hi, I bought a set of chromoplastic longboard P45 fender from REI, and the rear fender has only 1 hole drilled near the chainstay mount. The chainstay end of the fender is also just a flat rounded cut like ) rather than the 凸 shaped cut in the video. However in the package there's a packet of clips, which includes a plate with 2xM4 holes and 1xM5 slotted hole, the clip piece with a curved end and 2xM4 holes, and 2 sets of M4 screws and nuts. Has there been a design change and the part is wrongly included? Or is it that I need to manually drill M4 holes in the fender if I want to use the clips? Also, I was test fitting with an M5 screw and the included fender washer for the chainstay mount hole, and it looks like the fender has some amount of curvature over the width of the fender washer, so the washer doesn't lie flat against the inside of the fender (it looks like |) across the width of the fender). If screwed down tight, I'd imagine that the end of the fender would be bent out of shape into a flatter shape around the hole, or the washer may dent the fender from the inside. Would that still be fine for the fender? Would a regular washer of about 10mm across work better, or are there concerns of the fender tearing out around there? Do I need to bend the sliding clips near the seatpost with a plier like in the video at 3:02 to finalize the installation of the rear fender? I don't see that step indicated in any of the manuals...

Hi, what is the best way to mount the SKS Bluemels Set on a frame which does not provide the appropriate mounting points for mud guards / bicycle racks. I suppose there are adapters to mount them at the hub?

My hybrid Rocky Mountain Metropolis LHR has disc brakes. I find the fender rods hard to get around the disc brake assembly that sticks out...

Why is my rear fender brake bridge hanger made out of plastic! I want a steel one like in the video. When I install my rear fender how do I stop it from crushing and breaking when the rear brake caliper is tightened?

Hi Alison, we don't have any braking issues with our plastic bridges (SKS 5 years warrenty). Should it break one day we will send you a new one made of steel. Please just drop an email to sales@sks-germany.com then.

Can one fit these without having that bolt on the lower seat tube/chain stays bridge? Can you just use the brake bridge bolt?

@@sks_germany Got a Giant TCR 2011. I've checked the clearances and it seems even if it had the eyelet to fix it; there wouldn't be enough clearance to get the tyre fitted. I guess I'm stuck with Raceblade Pro, Pro XL, or Long. Thanks for the reply though!

@Arash Fallah Yes, it's possible to mount it like this. For your bike you can take th Raceblade Pro or Raceblade Long.

Yes they are. Would recommend 42mm or 45mm width to you.

Sorry, you are right. For 26" we only offer 53, 60 and 65mm widths. You maybe could consider our snap-on guards instead, the S-BOARD in the front and S-BLADE or S-BLADE FIXED in the rear.

Did he have to bend the stays on the other side because of the disc brakes?

No we didn't. The stays fit between pannier rack and frame. We also supply the fenders with spacers should disc brakes be in the way.

@@sks_germany I just bought the Chromoplastic Longboard fenders and I didn't see sufficient spacers for disc brakes. My bike has the old style discs on the seat stay instead of the chain stay.

Hello Leslaw, first of all you might check the mounts for the fender. Are you sure that Bluemels is ok for your bike? Do you want a fixed one or clip-on/clip-off? Has your bike a rack? How to choice optimal width of full size fenders according to width of tire? It is need to provide protection and harmonious (not heavy weight) view. I thing, it is can be simple rule

We recommend to take a profile which is around 10mm wider than the tyre.

What about 5 mm of difference plus Mud flaps? My tires are 700x40. I would not want my bike shall looks weighty...

Deep-tread tyres you are save with 53mm, slick tyres I would go for 46.

Yes, no problem.

How about some written instructions? Or maybe at least hold up the bolts you are fitting before each step since there are 4 different types to choose from? Or show an overview so I know where things are supposed to go? An ultra closeup of a hand sliding a bracket on to someplace on the fender is not helpful. This is so frustrating!
