Was Do You Don't You really a 2016 release? It feels so long ago... I miss the old days. Once 026 came and went, everything changed. Yeah, I know, change can be good, and it definitely helped boost Monstercat's popularity this year, but... I can't help but miss the old days. Aww, Imperfect Views didn't make it? That song was an EDM masterpiece, there's truly no other song like it. Well, I can't complain too much because this album is composed of some pretty great tracks. Even if I voted for some songs that didn't make it, I guess I can still listen to them normally. Monstercat, thank you for making 2016 pretty good! 🙂 Btw I'm saying pretty good and not amazing because if I'm gonna be perfectly honest, amongst the amazing tracks released this year there were some terrible tracks 😬 sorrrrryyy......

For the people that don't know how Monstercat works: 1. Releases on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There can be exceptions. 2. Every artist can only have 1 song on the best of 2016. Collabs are exceptions. 3. Monstercat doesn't make songs, it's a record label. Thank the artists. GQ is an exception. 4. Loved this mix. Many of the new artists didn't get in, but they probably will next year. Not the best mix (Best of 2014 IMO), but very well executed. Thank you Monstercat!

I'm also from the future and there are sadly a lot of disappointments. The golden days of Monstercat are long gone.

I found out about Monstercat earlier this year and I can honestly say that it has changed my life! I just wanted to say to all of the artists and community thank you for being a huge part of my life. The experiences I've had with this community have been amazing.

I liked just about all of the tracks off of 028 and 029. The other two albums didn't have very many songs that I really liked. I agree that the ones you mentioned weren't very good.

*I am from 2023 and I have really enjoyed my older days good. It costed me friends but I deserve this lovely music much. My childhood was nothing normal and casual at least, and I lived properly haha. Work hard, do this smartly, think with patience and move on towards the future, excel with thorough pace. This was definetly the best year for me. I loved EVERY TRACK! In this album mix. 2016 (since i was stupid) is where i finally understood how the album mixes work. Also. First Best of mix ive listened to. All the songs had this flow that made them all sync perfectly. Im glad to be part of this family. And im proud that Monstercat is a thing. ^^

These comments are full of disappointed people who are complaining because their favorite song didn't get added into the mix. Listen guys! I believe this was Monstercat's best year ever! Look at how many new artists they've picked up as well as singles they've produced this year! This community just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we should all be proud of that! *EVERY SINGLE SONG* that came out this year was great and in my opinion and all deserving of being on this list but these songs here were picked by the community as the year's best of the best and I'm so happy for the artists that keep making me happy and keep me dancing. Thanks for another amazing year Monstercat! I can't wait for what 2017 will bring!

And no bad songs, I literally don't know one person that liked Alone (GEtter Remix) also if you mean by expanding then this is definitely there biggest year not only over 20 new artists but they also got mainstream attention from seven Lions and marshmello

I thought BAMF was probably their best Dubstep song this year if you don't include the remix of juices. The rest I hated. I disliked nemesis but still I thought so far 028, 029 & 030 have been great or in 030 & 029s case, amazing! I just really really really really hated 027

It's been an amazing year! Just one thing: *WE choosed the songs for the lineup!* So don't blame Mcat because they put the wrong songs, we the Monstercat familly "did"! It's our choices and only our choices, so is there really someone to blame? Think about it.

Been here since March 2013 and continously listen to EVERY new release and was never really disappointed. This channel introduced me to electronic music. Before that I hated electronic now I'm listening almost only to it (Mainly Neurofunk, Future Bass, Bass House and Glitch Hop)

I did a dumb. I read the title of 2.5 hours, looked at the length and said to myself "Its only 2.3 hours!"

This year was incredible for Monstercat releases! Definitely one of my favorite Best of Year albums.

I'm actually in love with this mix. I'm actually satisfied having Gorilla Glue, Electric Heart and OK on here. I'm glad Superstar, Checkpoint and On Fire are on there (since I voted for those songs), FIGHT and Showdown as well. :) I liked the transition from FIGHT to Checkpoint, and from Rare to Tunnel Vision.

Unfortunately, they set restrictions so that only one song per artist got on excluding collabs. So only one Stonebank song could get on (trust me, I was sad too). Echoes of the Past couldn't make it either because it's from 030, which is spilling over into next year and will be a part of the Best of 2017 album. But, here's to hoping EotP makes it onto that album! :D

It might've changed since 4 and a half years ago though generally speaking I like heavier songs so expect to see alot of them here. On this mix: 5. OK! 4. Crescendo 3. Aamon 2. Antihero 1. Superstar In General: 5. Panic 4. Antihero 3. Deep In The Night 2. No Turning Back 1. Junction Seven Honorable Mentions: Tunnel Vision (Since it was released on my 15th birthday), Killing Giants (This was EDM/Metalcore before I learned who PhaseOne is), Into The Wild, Time To Say Goodbye, Until The End (My favorite song from both of them. Doesn't say much for Fractal though), Never Looking Back (kinda surprised people forgot about that one), Telling Me, Devotion, Cold Skin, and Malicious.

2016 has been Monstercat's best year without a doubt. So many surprises, big artists, and growth as a label. This track list shows Monstercat perfectly. Here's to 2017!

I've been listening to this for the past few days and there is quite a good amount of hidden gems I never heard this year, I'm glad that the year didn't ended without me listening to all this lovely tunes :3

The ending gave me the same goosebumps as the 5 year mix. Cheers to another year of Monstercat!

I love it when they can't decide on an hours worth so they just overload us! What a good year's worth of music.

Pretty pissed that Imperfect Views and Blackout didn't make it on, but very happy that Showdown and Airglow got on. Great year for Monstercat.

The songs were chosen by the public anyway tho, the monstercat team can't really pick and choose which artists or singles to have anyway

I just realized I've been listening the 2015 mix religiously since it came out. You've got high standards to live up to.

Monstercat... the only good music of 2016, and what a year for them!

2016 sucked, but this Monstercat Album Mix makes up for all of it!!!

In 2018 I've been listening this tracklist every day for months. Now I've came back and it sounds even more amazing as before.

I'd like to personally thank Monstercat for making such amazing dubstep and trap music for everyone to enjoy. this compilation is really amazing and great to listen to. Thank you for everything.

This was an amazing year for Monstercat! 10/10 and Im so happy that Silence by Koven made it. This song was my go to song whenever i was down and needed something to get me hyped.

Nevada has to be my pick. Right behind it would be break the silence and all alone

I haven't been listening to Monstercat but for a couple yearsnow, but it gives me an amazing kinda melancholy feeling hearing the yearly mixes. However, Monstercat is amazing and what an amazing year it's been with them. To 2017 and many more years to come!

Was hoping for a few more of my faves to get in but is still a great mix. The redeeming factor of 2016 has been all the great music monstercat has published this year!
