I don't quite get why so many people think of the 2012-2014 period as being the golden age of Monstercat EDM. I've been listening to EDM since 2014, and I can't express how happy I am to see how the artists have developed throughout the years. They really are becoming better and better! The whole genre is finding neater ways of turning sound into emotion!

Monstercat: Instinct 9 out of 10 solid album mix, buuuuuuuuut you should have ended on I don’t mind by direct because the segue between blind in light and I don’t mind is not good and I don’t think there’s a good seque that could even be made when the song only has piano notes basically and it would make perfect since you could be showing the uncaged fans who don’t yet appreciate instinct that instinct is just as good plus ending on a slow chill song sounds better personally

I know it's a few days late, but happy 2 year anniversary to this amazing and first Instinct Album Mix!! :D

Didrick - Ready To Fly surprised me as I had not expected to hear Owl City (aka Adam Young) on Monstercat, but the world is full of surprises and this is one of them. A surprise I'm awesomely happy to have heard!

What a great way to have a long mix of all these songs! I like where Instinct is going and the visuals only add to the experience! This was really creative and I like the change in the character! There are plenty of songs I really love in this compilation! Keep it up with all the amazing content! :D

Hey! I just realized today (June 12th) mark's exactly 3 years that this first Instinct mix had came out! I think I even remembered that the comment section on most of these released songs separately, I remembered that Monstercat: Uncaged had commented on them (as well as THIS mix too), anyone remembered that before? If not, look in them on Instinct's older uploads and you can see them, not completely all of them have that though, but it was quite interesting to think back on that! :) And I remembered that they used to have a 24/7 Radio stream thing for both of these Mcat channels, they used to play randomly anything songs that fit perfect with these two (where any rave songs for Uncaged, and any melodic vocal-driven & chill ones for Instinct here).

Clay Stewart What about Uncaged Vol. 2? It had an increase amount of melodic vocal-driven songs in there (especially having 4 Conro tracks in there too, as well as having Duumu, Direct and Rameses B). You can skip to either Nova or Jump (to where the continuous happy melodic starts in that mix).

That song at 2:06:25, that's my personal favorite one right there in this mix, love that bass sound and percussion in it. :)

Came here after listening to Uncaged Vol. 5 yesterday, such a Blast of awesomeness there, I think this one's still amazingly good to listen to (especially during the daylight too), but I love them both anyways. :)

I think this is still my favorite Monstercat Album of the year (as I enjoyed this one much more than the second Instinct album), especially at the start too. :)

Monstercat is a cat. It has nine lives. The first life was represented by the old layout, lasting 2 years. The second life was represented by the stars layout, lasting 3 years. The third life was represented by the new format, lasting until the end of 2017. The first Uncaged album was the beginning of the end of their third life. Now, with the release of Instinct Vol. 1, the fourth life has begun.

There are (as it seems) many people who like the more chill tracks than the hard tracks (or other way around) so they split the monstercat label to uncaged (hard tracks) and instinct (chill tracks) :)

That track at 31:16 actually feels a little too fast for me now. xD Man, this Monstercat Mix here is very powerful and also the most trusting one in 2018 to listen through, this should really deserve up to 500,000+ views one of these days, at least it had reached up to 330K! :)
