I tried both of them, my thoughts: The white pineapple taste like a less sweeter and less carbonated ultra gold. But didn't have that usual monster aftertaste. The Watermelon had more almost hubba bubba gum / artificial candy flavor. More watermelon / burnt rind in the aftertaste for sure.

Pretty interesting on how you were able to obtain this drink; CM has some clout :) Monster Reserve sounds like a marketing gimmick? Maybe they let some old Monster drinks ferment, canned them, and applied the "Reserve" name LOL! Pineapple sounds the most interesting......as pineapple is present in a lot of "Gold" and "Tropical" drinks, a dedicated Pineapple energy drink is a very under-represented flavor IMO. Hopefully your next review is something to your liking CM.

Like everything else, its all about who you know in the Biz. LOL! More Pineapple is on the way. I got Gfuel MFam Punch which has some pineapple and it looks like companies might be breaking into it this year. Time will tell. Will Pineapple be the new Watermelon?

Like steel reserve, only the energy drink version 👌 👌👌👌

Unpopular opinion: Reserve Watermelon > Ultra Watermelon. I'm probably one of a few people out there who liked this flavor (though unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it's been discontinued as I haven't seen that flavor being sold anywhere in like a year).

Hey Caffeine Man, I just got these and the nutrition facts are diffrent from what your can show. Yours is 190 calories and 49 Carbs while my can says 120 calories and 30 carbs. You may want to try the ones from the store and see if it’s different from the sample cans.

Yeah, looks like they ended up removing some sugar and adding some sucralose.

Kinda surprise they mess this up when the ultra watermelon was generally received well from the population. Eh would’ve even matter for me. Sugar free ftw! I think that whatever they did to maybe make it a "reserve" flavor and not "typical Monster flavor" made it taste a bit off. As for C4 Starburst, you know as much as me. I just posted it on all my socials to let people know. Me... it just shows up at my door one day!!! VERY HIGH Expectations! This is one of their biggest collabs yet, so they should really nail it.

Yo! I just cracked one open and decided to look it up in KZread because I never heard of it (I'm not much of an energy drink person) and I love watermelon flavor, it's ok.

Glad you found my channel! CHeck out a few more videos. Sooooo many more drinks that are better than Monster and they might get you to enjoy energy drinks. If you like candy, like Starburst, Skittles and Swedish Fish, they all exist in energy drink form, without any of the sugar!

The Reserve drinks came out the past couple of days, it seems they've lowered the sugar substantially. The watermelon flavor went from 96% dv sugar to about 58%, white pineapple is 57%. I think they both taste great, if they didn't have as much sugar in them I'd drink them more often.

Mark, It doesn't taste like white gummy bear it taste more akin to the ultra gold but little less carbonated and sweet

The released ones have 28 grams of sugar in both the watermelon and white pineapple the watermelon still has that same flavor u described in the video its not that great the white pineapple taste just like the ultra gold just alittle sweeter. I purchased 3 of each today not really a fan of them can send you both flavors if you want if you haven't got them yet since the watermelon now has 28 grams and idk if the flavor is any different that the sample one just let me know I can definitely send you both flavors. Had high hopes on these wish they would have done better with them.

I mean could the reserve mean that its time for bulking season and thats what they mean and why its so freaking packed with carbs and sugar?

I’m not a big watermelon fan but I like it more than the white pineapple. I would even get the watermelon again. Full of flavor and good. The white pineapple is not strong lol

People have told me that the sales sample and the real thing are slightly different and I should try another one. I don't think Im going to though, sounds like a trick. 😂 I dont think I have an accent BUT most people don't think they have an accent because its just where they are from. Born and Raised in Rhode Island... lived in Massachusetts for a while, but now back in Rhode Island.

Looks like these are the first two flavors to be released and if they do well, they can keep expanding the line. I think it could potentially be a "sugar" line for their energy drinks. They have the Ultra line for the sugar free drinks but they don't have a specific sugar line. For example, most Red Bulls are all sugar but they have different flavors. Now Monster can also have a bunch of different sugar flavors as part of a Monster line.

Monster Hydro did watermelon right... Too bad they discontinued it back in 2020 in Canada. Hell, I can still taste it in my minds eye when I recollect.

Have you covered the new monster assault flavor? I loved the original it was my favorite. They totally botched it.

@@CaffeineMan1 yes they did and the assault was my favorite. I always thought it has a cinnamon flavor, maybe wrong, but it reminded me exactly of a drink I loved before it. The brand was called Lost. It had graffiti on the can and it was like for skateboarders. Loved that stuff!

190 calories per can is a good amount of energy

I don't know why this vid ended up in my recommendations I stopped drinking energy drinks years ago

When a video starts getting more views than normal and more comments than normal, the algorthim reaches out to more people to see if they would like it. A lot of Nascar drivers have sponsors of energy drinks, so perhaps that is why? Overall, did you like the video or check out my other videos? I do have informative caffeine safety videos and an "Are Energy Drinks Bad for You" series. Not sure what your interests are. Some people just watch me because they say Im a nice guy. I don't believe them, but you can watch a few and find out for yourself. Am I selling this too hard?

Yeah, I talked a little bit about it in my Reserve White Pineapple video. Apparently it is just different flavored version of sugared drinks. As odd as it sounds, Monster doesnt have a line of sugared flavored drinks. So, for sugar-free Ultra, they have a bunch of flavors. For Java, they have a bunch of flavors. Each line has a bunch of flavors....but they don't actually have a sugar line, just the green original. Granted they have other differently names drinks with sugar, but this will be an official line of sugar drinks.

I prefer the Reserve Watermelon. Ultra Watermelon is alright, but Reserve Watermelon had a stronger and sweeter taste to it.

Sometimes it gets annoying when a new drink comes out and everyone posts pictures of it, but besides that, a lot of leaked information. I used to go on once a week.... back when I had some free time. LOL!

No, this was a middle taste. The aftertaste was a natural watermelon flavor. But during drinking it, it was weird. Unfortunately hard to describe.
