Johan would find out about the crush the joker has for his edgy boyfriend and will kill bruce then manipulates the joker to shoot himself and we all know that the joker ain't worth two shits without batman even the punisher better pray not to meet this guy Johan liebert would've extracted his worst fear and uses it against him then manipulates Frank to shoot himself johan would make bruce squeal too, johan liebert is based on the devil (the actual real one) the devil is the reason why the world suffered from wars and deaths and Johan liebert is basically the devil if he took a human form with all his manipulation abilities and skills so comparing that dweeb with a crush on a guy in a bat suit 24/7 to the nameless monster is just utterly asinine in every sense of the word.

Im depressed, I just finished this series only to find the best ost ever is 8 years old and it has 156kviews vs new openings in 2018 that have 5million views in 2 days. Monster is what I would call a hidden gem, and I’m glad I found it and watched all 74 episodes

I get the feeling this is probably the only anime capable of being represented as a live-action crime thriller series. You get all these really dumb ones with supernatural aspects or fantasy and it just doesn't fit. But if this were a mainstream crime show you'd never notice that it was actually a manga/anime originally.

Then only they'll be able to pull this off. It will be shit if someone like marvel movie directors will make this. This needs to be done by a cinematic genius. I'll say David Fincher will pull this off perfectly looking at his filmographym

That moment when Eva approached Dieter with her gun. Or when she sees Johan for the first time. Or when Richard figures out who Johan really is. Or when Roberto attacks Reichwein. I'm only halfway through the series, but whenever I hear this, my hairs stand on end.

This is supposed to be seen as Johan's soundtrack and I honestly think it suits him perfectly! Very intense, even scary, but sorrowful and sad at times.

This ost still gives me chills. Johan continues to be the creepiest villain I've ever seen

This anime is a masterpiece in all its aspects: soundtrack, writing, dramatic curve, characterization, graphics...

This song is amazing, the part in the middle where it swells, chills go down my spine and all I can think about is Johan's face smiling that little smile...spine chilling!

Kuniaki Haishima said in an interview that this is to consider the soundtrack of Johan Liebert. If you think it's true, is his personality, yes, that monster.

This O.S.T reminds me of the scene in the restaurant in episode 47 when : Grimmer and Tenma go to negotiate for the release of Suk with the Czech secret service agents ... Grimmer remembering his memories of his friend at the Kinderheim 511 orphanage ... By the way, his real friend was Roberto, but his real full name was: Adolf Reinardt.

This is the most powerful track of the entire soundtrack. I bought the OST just for this song popping up here and there in the anime.

You know you're listening to something special when the music playing as a character shouts "He loved hot chocolate!" goes from being a simple observation to a pants-crapping revelation.

Just finished this Anime. Absolute master piece, it felt slow at times but it’s so worth it for the stories and the great characters. Johan is an amazing villain, and you can’t help but love the likes of Tenma, Grimmer and Lunge. Beautiful series!

imho, monster berserk and vagabond are the best ever

the first time they played the tape was one of the most haunting/memorable scenes to me for some reason. not just the content of it and the way johan sometimes didn't answer his questions even though he was specifically drugged to answer anything (which gave me a real sense that whatever the answer was, it was extremely terrifying to him), but also grimmer's reaction to everything. the scene in general just really stuck out to me, especially the spinning of the cassette cutting off to a flashback of the fan spinning in kinderheim. i was like "oh fucking hell grimmer was there too wasn't he. don't do this to me show" lmao just wow. this entire series was insane

I always wondered why they simply didn't shoot Johan in the legs. I mean, Tenma is a doctor, so he knows where non-vital areas are. Incapacitate the monster or else lots more people will die.

Are you current on anything anime related these days? To be honest Berserk 97 and Monster for me in 06, pretty much retired me on anime. I just weren't able to get into the stuff after that; cause those two shows mentioned set the bar so high!

Perfection!

This piece of music is genuinely on the same level as the Jaws theme, they used it for so many horrifying moments that it started having a Pavlovian effect on me. The first few seconds alone just make my heart sink.

3:38 - "I...I created a monster..." *Moment of silence* "I revived that monster." This is probably my favourite moment in the whole story. So powerful.
