That Kaiju looks awfully a lot like Lao Shan Lung from the earlier Monster hunter games, I hope they spice that hunt up more this time, was a bit boring after the 5-6 time.

A slight bit of bashing compared to the Sony Pony bandwagon is quite a different story. Before anyone says anything, I own all of the systems this generation (even the wortthless Xbox One since I have a gaming tower with Windows 10, but I get some of the Microsoft exclusives physically for my collection so I can't complain), and I use my Vita more than any of my systems. I'm just not going to ignore the fact that Sony Ponys have become bigger cancer than Xbots were last generation. Regardless of the fact, all fanboys are obnoxious when they don't get something, but I understand why Nintendo fanboys are upset since they became so invested with the MH franchise and now a new game is coming out, but Capcom's made it very clear that they have no intentions of localizing XX because of World. So Nintendo fans get the incomplete version of X/Gen if they're in the West. Yeah anyone who owned a PSP like myself got the cold shoulder for new MH titles when Capcom jumped ship to Nintendo, so I had to jump ship with them. At least in that regard it was because Sony had a lot of strict regulations and guidelines to even let MH jump to the PS3 or Vita (Tri was originally in development for the PS3) so Capcom went to Nintendo where it was easier to develop for and had less regulations. So that was more of a Sony fuck up than Capcom playing. For me it's kind of annoying that they're making the fanbase jump ship again, but at the same time it doesn't affect me since I already have the systems to go into so I'm not as annoyed seeing it happen. Granted I hate that I probably won't be able to play XX without importing it, since I'd prefer to play that while waiting for the inevitable G-rank expansion for World since we all know it won't come on launch lol

Never been disappointed by Monster Hunter series. Now this one is the cherry on the cake !bring it on!

if what weve seen is any indication to what the game is gonna be actually like, the gameplay, and the quality of the monsters / environments, then what more could we want? from what ive seen, theyve gotten the gameplay AND the monsters right, so in my opinion, thats all this game needs to succeed, anything else would do little to water down my experience.

No I think the animations when they interact with each other are going to b similar depending on their animation skeleton, bc u know Capcom likes to reuse animation skeletons. Barroth, Brachy, Dinovaldo, Deviljho, Anjanath are examples of monsters who hav the same animation skeleton. SO I think it depends on which monsters opposing animation skeleton will show tht fight between them. SO Im guessing it wont b much like roughly 7 diff. kind of interactions.

A single animation wouldn't be enough. The mudshiot here twists around barroth's body, but imagine if it was a rathalos or something. It would need animations for every interaction they have planned

If you pay attention you can see those small wyverns were making lound noices to make the Diablos come out from the sand

Ah. Another title to spend 700+ hours on like every other MH game I've played. Except FU. Spent 1500+ hours in that. I've played all the games and this is the one I've been the second most hype about. MH4U was still my most anticipated game, but hopefully this'll blow it out of the water. I expect great things out of this.

cant wait for this game and hopefully a XX localization down the line. I want both of them. and all of the titles of MH I played on were between 100-700 hours (Tri, 3U and Gen) while MH4U is the one tht I got 2300+ hours. and yes I started on Tri on Wii. :P

Best monster is relative.... personally some of the best are Red Khezu, Nerscylla or Rathian.

As someone who's played MHFU and MHU in his childhood, seeing the game come back in full HD with that large-ass dragon at the end REALLY has me hyped up. #GOTY2018

Thank you capcom, I have never been more hyped for a Monster hunter game. Been playing since Freedom Unite! You guys Rock!

So from what I can see from the trailer. They have revealed the new desert esque area (kinda looks like the Gorge from Frontier, I wonder if it is a revamped version... I'm hoping so because the Gorge theme is one of my favourite themes). Apceros... Well I guess they do have to tie in the monster roster with a desert herbivore somehow I guess. Barroth... YES!!!!! Wasn't expecting Barroth to be one of the returning monsters but I'm glad it is. New Piscine Wyvern!!!!!!! REALLY long overdue since we had a Piscine Wyvern and it looks pretty friggin cool, It also looks as though it's not gonna be as annoying as Cephadrome or Plesioth which I absolutely adore since Piscine Wyverns typically had a bad rep because of those 2.(could see it briefly attacking Barroth which shows that it's probably a mid-game monster too). Dodo Bird Dog Wyvern!!!!! Can never say no to friggin dodo's, and it can apparently pick up rocks as it's gimmicks, presumably a 2 star fight alongside Great Jagras. New Bird Wyvern!!!! That tongue..... so damn large!!! It definitely takes Gypceros's concept of a cryptic, creepy bird wyvern and takes it to a whole other level. Those eyes too, reminds me of the Basilisk things from the Souls games. Diablos!!!!! .... Whelp, not surprised, Diablos has been with Rathalos and Rathian in appearing in every single game and I guess they couldn't think of a different higher tier desert monster so I guess why not. Just hoping he's not as annoying as he is in the previous generations. Day, Dusk, Night cycles!!!! I noticed in the Anjanath and Rathalos hunts that the Anicent Forest was at dusk and at night, multiple times to hunt in a quest? And perhaps it in a cycle throughout the hunt? Frontier had it so I imagine it's the same for this. Final reveal volcanic monster!!!! Either the Flagship monster or the low rank or high rank final boss, looks to have abiorugu's head kinda, I'm assuming either a titanic brute wyvern that resembles Godzilla or a giant volcanic snapping turtle from hell. You can give sausages to your cat!!!!! EPIC!!!!!!!

I completely friggin missed out the small cat-fish esque monsters swimming in the mud 11 seconds in, presumably those are either the minions of the Mudsioth piscine or something newly designed. Coming from the piscine introduction, it seems that the MH4U-esque intros are back, at-least I hope so. It was also raining on the night Rathalos hunt so I'm assuming either night Ancient Forest rains like the Jungle or dynamic weather effects are a thing. Also those flying things, not sure if they're the same thing we saw before or something different, they have a different colour scheme it seems but that's probably due to the desert environment.

I think it's everybody hyping the fact that Nintendo is not getting this game. Not just PC people. It's weird because it has somehow united us across platforms under one banner. We all just dislike Nintendo. The fact that they have lost such a big franchise on their console to all the other platforms is absolutely fabulous news.

Don't care what anyone says, this is gonna be one of the good ones. They are really making a good change here and that's just what we need. They are doing what is necessary to better the franchise and keep us interested and all you haters who say "this is not real monster hunter", you're wrong. This is very much monster hunter. It says it on the title and probably will on the game copy too ;) we just need to wait. We shouldn't fight about this anymore. We shouldn't divide ourselves as a community because this is different. We need to give it a chance.

+Bradley Young Ive hardly seen any attacks on this game tbh, it is pure MH they've kept it all intact and just greatly improved the graphics, the world and moves etc. Capcom have basically done a Mortal Kombat X on the Monster Hunter series :)

MARVIN Slomp Dalamadur was kinda boring, I think the new monster at the end might be a more fun fight. I'd prefer Gogmazios over Dalamadur but honestly, now that Barroth and Diablos are confirmed, all the old monsters i really want back are Nargacuga, Astalos and Tigrex. Edit: Forgot about Zinogre and Brachy

Ahh, i love this feeling of looking at such an amazing thing and then after years have passed looking back at it and thinking THIS was the best game only to be shadowed by an even more amazing Monster Hunter game

I have never been so hyped for a game! And thank god that is on PC too! Also these are i think all the returning monsters so far : Rathalos , Aptonoth , Apceros , Barroth , Diablos , probably Rathian too.... I would pls like Zinogre , Tigrex , Uragaan , Deviljho , Seregios , Lagiacrus , Nargacuga etc..... And thats not including all the elder dragons.

Rathian is confirmed in one of the weapon demos (charge blade i think) They show off her armor and weapon. Plus to have rathalos but not rathian would be dumb.

As someone who hasn't played a Monster Hunter game before, but is looking at this game to be my introduction, Is there anything I should know about the world or such beforehand?

General gameplay/online stuff: 1 - Dont be "that guy" and use a bunch of different types weapons, try choosing 1-3 weapons types you like and main them, otherwise you'll just be average with each weapon and MH is more about mastering your weapon and the enemies attacks than anything else, so its better getting really good with a few amount of weapons and then when you get good with these weapons you should start playing around with other ones, this way if at some point you find some really tough monster you can always change to the weapon you practised the most with and have a better time. 2 - Dont descriminate any weapon, every single one of them have something good about them, so dont do things like: "If you use x weapon you cant play with me". 3 - When you enter someone else's looby let the host choose the quest. 4 - Be ready to kill the same monster a bunch of times since you have to make armor and weapons out of the materials they drop (no, there is no armor or weapon loot system, you have to make them yourself). 5 - No one can is instantly good at this game, so dont feel bad if you feel like you suck really bad at the start, and dont be afraid to look for guides, Monster Hunter is infamous for having some pretty bad tutorials unfortunetly. About the World of MH: 1 - There is no backstory really needed to play the games, you can choose any in the series and it'll be pratically the same thing: "This village is having trouble with monsters, the Monster Hunting guild sends a starter hunter (You) to said village to help them". 2 - Lorewise the most interesting thing in the game is reading about the monsters in the Monster Guide and the reason you are doing each one of these missions in the mission descriptions. That's all of it (I think), I hope you havent changed your mind about the game. Have fun.

You forgot many other things connected with the lore: First of all there may be some Ecology video that gives lore to the monsters in addition to the descriptions. Then we have lore from the descriptions of armors, weapons and quests. Then there are some "silent informations" that you can understand by watching the maps. And rarely some interesting informations from NPCs.
