That unsheathed sprint on the GS 8:22 reminded me of Frontier's extreme style sprint. My theory is that it works similar to Adept evade except it activates after a successful counter (basing on how the devs love reactive and counter-focused playstyle). Cant' wait for 2025!!!

The palicos do have voice acting, they talk at the start on the sandskiff and later on in the hunt.The Chatacabra looks amazing. 6:23 is a new monster, it gets thrown out by Doshaguma and knocked over in the background, looks like a similar skeleton to Tobi-Kadachi or a big version of the raptors. Also thanks again for the file city OST, my two favorite games, makes feel like i'm in heaven.

I would guess the stowed sharpness will remain- but that sounds like a perfect palico skill, who sharpens your weapon on your mount automatically

the Hunter Speaks at the beginning of the trailer too

I will have to get used to our palico talking to us, i hope we can choose our palicos voice however, also by the lord I do hope so much that we can change our mounts colors, i do really like the mounts colors ofc but I think other colors could work really well too

2025 couldn’t come any sooner, but they need to make sure everything goes right for the dev team so the game comes out amazing.

And unlike the leviathans from Rise, its body confirms to the ground. Lagiacrus was cut from World because the body-conforming physics interaction between long-bodied belly-dragger monsters and rough terrain was super glitchy (Something we see glimpses of with Kulve in mantle mode). So that crocodile's body so cleanly conforming to the terrain it was dragging itself across means they've fixed that issue in Wilds... *His return is imminent.*

I knew lagiacrus would be in wilds when I fought a giant worm dragon in dragons dogma 2. That thing was slithering on the ground and no sort of phasing or clipping at all. Can't wait to see what they bring.

Luddy did hold himself a bit off the ground more than Lagi or Agni did, and then the Ludroth and Uroktors only really spawned in near perfectly flat zones, and weren't _completely_ dragging themselves on the ground either IIRC (Their chests were held a bit off the ground I think?). Compare that to the crocodile which is _completely_ flat against the terrain prior to lunging and conforming perfectly with the curvature of the incline, heavily suggesting they've nailed out those aforementioned kinks with the body-conforming. It's a small thing, but it says a lot.

They are reinforcing GS guard/block gameplay? Also it looks like they doubling down on expedition/ guiding lands style of hunting

I wonder if we'll be able to pick which hand our Hunter uses in this game. As a right-handed Sword and Shield player, I would really like my Hunter to hold his sword in the right hand ahaha. Though really, it's just a quality of life detail, I'm just looking forward to a new Monster Hunter game

I would like them to make it so we can wear either armor set with either body type

The ecosystem change reminds me so much of the old games. The enviroment changed a bit, depending on the time of hunt back then. Desert was hot during the day, so you needed cold drink, while at night, you needed a hot drink, and some caves in the map were filled with water. Or in the swamp - if it was raining, the poisonous clouds that we´re present in some parts were washed away. I always told my buds in world how i miss those parts - it just felt so good to get to know them and prepare.

Tha Palico do speak English, at the start on the boat and near the end around 3:46 I believe

I would be super hyped if there was a new hybrid weapon of some sort, like a dagger and a pistol type bowgun would be sooo sick. Seeing as the gunlance has been around for so long I think it would be a good idea!

The slinger is better now for long range weapons because you don’t need to close in on the monster as much to get that slinger action.

3:40 yes unfortunately they do speak English. If you rewatch the trailer, that annoying high pitch voice is your palco. Hopefully we can change it in the setting to go back to making cat noises or just flat out mute it

When the hunter pulled out the bowgun, I was wondering if it was a hbg or a lbg since it was shooting rapid fire shots. Most people I’ve seen say it’s a hbg. 🤔

Our Hunter could speak in Rise. Not in cinematics but they could say phases when they use special attacks. But it's even cooler that now we have dialog in cutscenes as well.

3:05 im glad tbh i was worried after hearing what ESG related things were hapening at capcom that they whould just make male and female sets look the same but this did restore my hope there.

I kinda hope that they add the option to have the character not talk during gameplay, like they did in Rise - having the character shout things in the middle of combat was very distracting to me so the option to have them only talk during dialogue and cutscenes would be a very welcome one imo.

The developer interview said we're getting another trailer in two weeks. June 7th/8th at Summer Game Fest

Doesnt confirm Kut-Ku yet. We saw Baby Tetsucapra in Rises Trailers and no Tetsucapra was ever added.

Cool fact: wilds has for its logo 6 serpents indicating its monster hunter 6. But why serpents? Well those Gaint rock formations we see almost look like a Gaint serpent made those. You guessed it. Dalamadaur can come back! This makes sense because wilds takes place in the new world (most likely) and we know dalamadaurs we’re in the new world because of the rotten vale being made out of 2. So yeah we might just be getting dalamadaur back in the game!

Dama capcom made new wifues for monster hunter. Now if you can build relationships like in baldur's gate 3 I'd be very happy.

But can we have a cat that really attacks like we want them to attack. Not the half ass attack as they been doing

I think the kid is kind of a survivor of the flagship monster

don't think we're getting a new weapon. Capcom did already say they strongly believe that the 14 current weapons already cover most of everything they could want in weapons and the act of allowing players to swap between 2 mid action already expands the "weapon moveset" considerably by combining options, in itself becoming a multitude of new weapon setups. I do wonder tho as silly as it is if it lets us carry 2 of the same weapon type. Like if someone really prefers to focus on one weapon type but might want to carry different elements for different monsters or one weapon to inflict a status then swap back to element for damage.

They really stepped up the design for the female NPCs this time around. They're so damn cute!

Ugh, still don't care about a character creation system with a fully voiced protagonist. That would be my only gripe, and it's a small and unpopular opinion that it's still unnecessary. Other than that, hella can't wait for this game.

Palicos do speak in this. And Gemma and that officer guy are from mh4, it's pretty obvious who they are.

A mid looking Handler and a Kenny, can’t say I feel like Capcom learned anything from MH World

Why they make Gemma hot. . . Hunter: I need my long sword polished Gemma: sir this is a bow Hunter: that wasn't the sword I was talking about. . .

I'm kinda standing on a middle ground here. On one hand, it looks pretty good and interesting. On the other, we're starting to drift pretty far away from what is Monster Hunter. I can't deny that as of now, i have mixed feelings about all of this. It's still pretty early tho, i'll wait till some more trailers and infos are released.
