StubenhockerElite pretty sure this game is YEARS after the first stories so probably not, honestly it looks like red is the main character from the first stories and the scarred Ratha Los is totally an old Ratha so I think all the other non-wyverian characters have passed away

@@amonkoutaro5940 The scarred Rathalos could go either way ... in Stories 1 Ratha had a singular scar that carved out his left eye, but this Rathalos has an X-shaped scar across the snout (and no lost eyes).

Stratelier true, that was mainly my head cannon, like maybe the scar moves as he grew but his eye still doesn’t work and maybe during the time gap he was injured by a mobster in a fight that may or may not be related to the story of the new game

@@whitewolf3051 Well, there's lots of Monster Catching games around. Apparently the Yo-Kai and Digimon games are pretty good. There's also the grandad of them all, Shin Megani Tensei. Unless you're put off by the difficulty or dark and religious aspects of that franchise.

@@hex1233 I tried some Digimon, but the fact the games aren't like the show where it's one monster to a chosen partner puts me off. Yo-Kai Watch seems to have random chance of what you'll get, not what you want, so that's puts me off also. Shin Megami Tensei...I only have the spin off known as Soul Hackers, but the difficulty is what puts me off on the series.

I dont know how I feel about capcop making me attached to rathalos in one game and forcing me to murder thousands of them in another....

I am so freaking happy stories 2 is getting made. I was scared it wouldn't or at least not get sent out internationally due to it lackluster sales in the west (since we didn't even get update patches for Stories 1 after a while because of it), but here we are, and with MH Rise too. And to think, my bank account was looking Ok just a few moments ago-

Burraku Dusk Yeah, we got update 1.1, but for some reason they never bothered on localizing updates 1.2 and 1.3. I _think_ it was update 1.2 that continued the story and tied it in with the anime. Which is a lot of content to just suddenly not release to half of the world.

I am in awe that we are actually getting stories 2 I am so excited!

I want character customization in Stories 2. There are hardly any RPGs on switch with character customization. The customization was what made the first game so special for me. I want more games like the first game.This sequel looks nice, but it doesn’t feel the same. I also miss the made up monster hunter language that everyone spoke in.

The first game was so touching, amazing characters and gorgeous gameplay, I just found out about this game a minute ago. I'm so glad to see this game return, and hopefully it'll get the recognition it deserves

The only game that fulfills my desire of have a monster hunter monster as a companion. The moment I saw monster designs in the 1st monster hunter. I never really wanted to hunt them, rather have them as a friend is much more interesting.

I hope that the rite of channeling will be in this game as well with slight adjustments to make it easier to build the set you want. If they remove the colour change from monsties that have had their element changed I'll be disappointed. Will the great poogie return I wonder

Nathan Thompson yeah I drew a lot of comparisons between Pokémon Sun & Moon to Monster Hunter Stories and I liked Monster Hunter Stories far better. As far as it goes on switch I compared Dragon Quest XI to Sword and Shield. Point being, Pokemon has gotten content with mediocre games they better not mess up the Gen 4 Remakes

But if we bring *Digimon* to the table, I'd say *Digimon Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory* > Monster Hunter Stories. But still, whereas Pokemon shines in 1v1 and Digimon shines in 3v3, I'd like to think that MH Stories is unique in that it shines in 2v2, so I love them all regardless! :)

The 3Ds game was very good. Glad it will have a sequel.

Just like I put on the Capcom comment section of their MHStories announcement vid: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, for bringing MHStories 2 to the Nintendo Switch, Capcom and Nintendo. This is the best new this year. Not that it really mattered for this release, but I love the original so much I even dropped off a plea for the 1.3 and up patches and a sequal at Nintendo of Japan when I got the chance at the start of this year. I am glad the mobile Stories game wasn't the last we heard of Stories :D Day one for me, obviously. Also, we want all the content Japan also gets this time around!

SO freaking happy!!😍 I've always hoped there'd be a sequel to MHS. I fell in love with the first game the minute I randomly tried the demo and heard the amazing battle theme in the first area. When I felt that sad sense of longing as I finished the demo I knew I was hooked and I had to have it. It's my only kinda experience with the Monster Hunter series, even though it's not like the main entries I enjoyed getting to see alot that's in those games like the monsters and certain characters. Monster Hunter Stories is just way more up my alley, I just beat it last year so I'm PUMPED for this to be announced so soon after I finished it. Can't wait to Ride On again😁

The first one was one of my most favourite games that I played on my 2DS and I always wanted it to have a sequel so that it would be more awesome

First game is on sale on 3DS currently just fyi for anyone itching to dive into the series

they sure make a lot of money.. they deserve it though, these games are amazing.

My God, this is amazing, everything you can ask in a videogame. Also, the first time I need to play this title so hard!

Don't sleep on this, the first game was great and not being bound vy the 3ds means it can really flex its strengths!
