tip: don't try to put two different play styles into one build. Axe mode requires decent affinity for it to be effective while SED play style doesn't really need affinity

OMG seriously? Affinity is best only for Spinning Axe builds? So I should only worry about Critical eye if I'm mainly using the Spinning Axe mode?

​@@joseventura4717 yes. Phial explosions ignore affinity entirely, whereas CSS is all physical axe attacks. Generally, element exploit SAED playstyle, you're trying to mainly use explosions, so affinity isn't a priority Impact phials benefit from artillery, element phials do not. These are both common mistakes for new/learning CB users! Hope that helps m8

IceBorne Spinning Axe Mode wasn’t my favorite but having the silk bind skills, elemental buffs and new skills in Sunbreak have made it my favorite now.

I was wondering when they'd repost this video! Thanks team, been having a hard time finding good elemental synergy since sunbreak released, been rocking elementless the entire time.

Currently running the Status Trigger & Forey build but I have a Blast CB that I primarily use when I'm not poisoning

You also want to try to include armor pieces with different elder dragon's blessings which give up to 10%-15% towards element damage. 2 piece from Kushala (Ice & Water), 2 piece from Tesotra (Fire) and 3 piece from Narwa (Thunder & Dragon). Good thing about elem CB build is that you dont really need that many skills to dish out 300 - 400 damage per phials. Most important minimum skills to have are: Elemental Damage 5, Guard 5, Guard up 1, Elem Exploit 1, Chain Crit 1, Dereliction 1. The rest is up to your preference. Edit: Forgot about Rapid Morph 3. You dont benefit from the extra morph damage but your SAED will animate faster hence reducing the window in which you are open to attacks.

exactly, with good armor crafting and talimans you can weave in malzanos belt or chest too depending on the element if you're really stacked for materials. The attack buffs are completely secondary. That's why I don't understand the push for offensive guard. The only time I'd say "ya, go ahead, push attack boost stuff over comfy skills/mandatory ones you list", is if you're doing multiplayer axe-hopper builds. 90% of the time, I'd rather not do axe-hopper, to avoid messing with dereliction. Edit: hell, even getting a few handcraft rolls with protective polish would be a decent upgrade as well. Once I get a few specific pieces with grinder S/PP/handi (with all the stuff you mentioned), that will be my endgame.

This is what I did over full 3 pc Silver Sol. I feel like given Element Exploit needs the 20 HZV, not worth going all in on it for every monster since not every monster will have that good of HZV for it to work, esp since I primarily play with SAED. Rather just do 1 piece Silver Sol for at least that 10% when it does happen, but otherwise get the 10-15% flat elemental boost from the other sets mixed with it.

Arekkz I was thinking of flaming espinas and I made a build that will do water damage and I was thinking you could make it better. The build is on my channel right now.

Do you think we will eventually get an event quest to farm for charms? I haven’t made a lot of those since base Rise and it is kind of frustrating looking at those horrible charms I got 😞

the new update made way easier right now.

I have 2 cb sets for each 1 with 3 sinister pieces the elder legs (teo & Dora) & sliver helm (I use for crit boost 2 & chain crit 1 augmented) .the other set is same but sinister chest swap for sliver chest(it works on 20 not 25 that is rampage decoration only) My dragon & thunder r same 3 mids with stormsoul head & legs These are maximum element u can get with out dereliction (which I only run on impact sometimes.) My highest phail so far is 780s on shogun (in set with counters nor rapid morph)

@@HanDaimond nope but axe hop does high damage think of it as rapid morph damage I don't use counters so it ,guard skills & offensive guard need to be replaced

Artillery doesnt affect elemental phial, it only affects impact

Am I the only one that's waiting for the scorned magnamalo SA build, or did I miss it?

I was just thinking of trying these out! perfect timing! I'm atm using LS a lot. From GS through the story, to LBG for a lot of power in MR, I'm now doing LS for how stylish it is.... but i Suck with timings, so i also wanted CB for the satisfying unload. (impacts are only hitting for 100x, so i wanted juicier element number) Only real difference between my pseudo armor plans and this one; I was going to stop elemental exploit at 1, and instead add in the blessings for another +10/15% dmg. (kush/teo/storm?) not sure if its for all elements, but i thought it would outweigh lvl 2and 3 of elemental exploit.

The Blessings are better for SAED spam, since they give a higher bonus than ele/ex lvl2 and 3. You should still run lvl.1 ele/ex. Teostra waist for fire, Kushala arms for ice and water and Narwa head, Arms and Ibushi Legs for Dragon and Thunder. Narwas Waist is also useable instead of the arms, but Artillery(useless for element) or Partbreaker, what would you pick. Another skill to boost element would be Mail of Hellfire, wich you can ad if you want, just remember to be on Blue Scrole when you use it.

@@frozenherolp9077 I'm mr100, haven't downed scorned yet. But still having a blast. Seeing 5x 550, and 6x100 on a single unload is satisfying. Good tip on artillery, only noticed that recently. A skill I hadn't thought of but saw, power prolonger, but I'm still learning CB again.

I kind of have this build down to a T but I can’t augment the gold armor yet only purple and lower sets but I have pretty much every skill plus a lucky augment roll on the barroth armor pieces got element exploit and crit element on one piece for 1 point each so I have extra deck slots

I hit a few 1300 element phial damage on a Tigrex and a astolos with their elemental weakness I was shocked

How do you have Offensive Guard 3? I am counting 1 point from Qurio, 1 point in the 3 slot of the charm. Where is the last point coming from?

Could be a different charge blade that has that last level of Offensive Guard. Thats my guess

Good video but a few of the numbers are a little off; Spinning axe isn't great at element as it has a 0.3 multiplier on elemental damage Element exploit from silver Los armor is effective on hit zones of 20 or higher Elemenbane is the 3 slot rampage deco effective on hit zones of 25 or higher. Side note to is that you get diminishing returns from level 2 and level 3 of element exploit so it's generally better to go for more efficient skill/ slot equipment such as archfiend for chain crit or dereliction if you're comfortable with that playstyle Also worth mentioning that slotting in weakness exploit is almost always better than attack 7 if you had to make the choice as neither effect element Saed but WeX is effectively 12.5% damage increase on melee hits which is a considerable portion of the charge blade gameplay. Charging phial, saed melee hit etc etc

Does Critical Boost work with elemental phial explosions? As far as I know, it doesn’t but several builds have it for some reason. Is it to deal more damage when hitting the monster with the weapon during SAEDs?

@@HanDaimond crit boost only applies to the physical part of the attack. It doesnt apply to HH shockwaves, GL shells or CB Phials :)

Offensive guard doesnt. Main benefit would be with axe hopper, and even then, It's rare I use axe hopper in single player.

was once a CB main now not so much

ya, element exploit is a 1 point wonder, those blessings/stormsoul are way more important.. The elembane decoration is highly overrated as well.

@@ron6625 if you have elemental hitzone of 25 or more AND it easily accessible then go elembane otherwise you are better off with the anti species decos

Everyone really is. Impact I'd classify as savage axe, unless doing multiplayer. They're not great for SAED, and I've yet to find a status build I like with SAED either. It's a good thing elemental does really good damage.

i made a build with the diablos charge blade .. full sneak attack and full protective polish.. it shines only in multiplayer actually and you are not the host... so that you will be able to hit your SAEDs from behind the monster consistently.. it has the highest phials damage .. and thats excluding direlction and offensive guard(i didn't bother to try them out but feel free to share your knowledge with us)

so from top to bottom ingot helm x lambent hauberk rhenopolos braces x lambent sash lambent gaters decos 5 attack jewels 1 magazine 1 artillery 1 brace 3 cornerstone 1 sharp 1 sharp +4 talisman used : chain crit level 1 should be fine .. but you can use qurio crafting to insert it into the build

Elemental Charge Blade is not funny, it's disgusting, at least for normal monsters, afflicted is nice; a note: offensive guard is useless only 5 skills affects the elemental explosions: (element) Attack, Chain Crit, Elemental Exploit, Dereliction and the monsters skills like Kushala and Teostra Blessing and Stormsoul, also for Dragon Element the Valstrax's Rampage deco but you need Dragonheart activated Edit: besides being weak to all elements but dragon, Valstrax has some kind of special armor against the element explosions from Charge Blade, I tried every element and the damage is incredible bad

Valstrax gains insane elemental resistances when he is enraged, so element in general is not worth it.

@@Adrian_Snake Absolutely. I take 2 points of evade distance on about 100% of my builds. 1 point or no points was good enough pre-master rank. Fighting narwa and ibushi, I prefer to have 3 points in evade distance.
