@@Fenikkusu14 literally the fastest and best way to pull off an ultra/cancelled discharge my man, slap level 1-2 guard and guard up on yourself and learn how to use all aspects of the weapon youve been using "for years" ignoring guard points on charge blade is like ignoring zero sum on switch axe, or arch demon mode on dual blades.

@@Laoruperteen18 whoa whoa... let's not go crazy (re: not using zero sum on switch axe) lol. that said, what do you mean regarding arch demon mode w/ dual blades? while i've only been playing since MHW, i use DBs and only started to actually care about arch demon mode while using the side slash ability (since the additional cancels are only available outside of demon mode). otherwise, arch demon just comes about as a result of having the "rest" demon mode to recover stamina... or am i missing something?

@@shadow0508 in mhw, maybe, but in rise arch demon mode has some advantages over demon mode. Just look at the triangle+circle combo!

For real. That much guard is costly but it feels great knowing I can tank really well. Combined with the decoration that sharpens you when you block it’s even better.

Magnificent. Absolutely amazing, I am envious of such smooth mastery of my favorite MH weapon. While I certainly don't think I'll be pulling most of those tricks off anytime soon, that immensely satisfying feeling when a SAED hits at full charge is the reason I play this weapon and your timing and positioning for those was flawless. Thank you for putting in all the effort to show us what can truly be done with all these weapon videos.

for real during rise its feels so restrictive that you can only "choose" one way to play but maaan sunbreak with its switch skill just gave the CB its trully full potential where you can use and swap sword mode and axe mode on the fly that i cant help to love it all over it again

with MR have more armor slot and T4 Jewel... its less restrictive to put jewel like rapid morph, artilleries, charge or guard up because in HR its really hard to make build for CB especially when i NEED to have rapid morph at least lvl2 if not lvl3 because it feel like dog shit without one also evade extender 3 is a must for me too also switch skill is just a blessing where u can have both sword mode and axe mode interchangeable during fight

always main LS in monster hunter but after get to HR4, i try many weapons like bow, LBG, sns, DB, IG, and CB. CB spinning combo always satisfying to use when i knock down monsters in MH

If people still haven't discovered it yet, wirebug into saed is the very best reposition manuver that can almost guarantee to have your saed land, especially on the head.

I loved CB, It's the only weapon I use in the entire MHR game. I also taunt "Elemental Charge Blade Jutsu!" when I smash the element blow.

Soon as i heard Apex of the World play, i knew this was gonna be epic.

Just started really learning CB about a week ago my build feels weak rn cuz I mainly have hammer decos but I was able to get max artillery and atleast 95% affinity and almost max crit boost and attack boost.

4K 60fps and everything is maxed out, I don't think I have special settings more than that

I tried to get into CB back in Iceborne but just couldn't get into it. Whereas in Sunbreak, I'm having more fun with it than any other weapon. A weapon perfectly balanced for being a tank, counter and aggressive playstyle with either knockout style or elemental style. Such a phenominal weapon.

Wow funnily enough I feel the exact opposite. Charge Blade honestly feels neutered to me from Iceborne to Rise and while Sunbreak did remedy some of the issues it still doesn’t feel as good to me as it was in Iceborne or GU for that matter.

@@spartacus6256 Well the reason why I like it sm in Sunbreak is that endgame monsters hit like a truck on steroids so using charge blade while spamming counter peak performance skillbind, it's just punshing monsters non-stop. I will go back to world and try to use it again. iirc, CB was one of the not so great DPS weapon back in IB but still looked gorgeous.

@@spartacus6256 because in Rise you really have to sacrifice a lot of deco slot for damage for rapid morph, artilleries, charge or guard up while in world the gameplay wasnt as fast as rise, so even slow CB still fairly feel balance in world.. and without rapid morph in rise.. CB feels utter shit.. that i ended up change to LS HH and BOW but damn Skill switch is a huge blessing for CB that i start enjoy using it on SunB with more deco slot and Tier4 jewel

I got into charge blade because I’m a switch axe main and cb it’s pretty much swax younger brother but it actually has defensive options. I still main switch axe but CB is a pretty close second. It is a complicated weapon but you get used to it’s many cycling steps to do huge damage, plus MHR/Sunbreak has shortcuts for phial management and phial charging/storing through silkbind moves.

a question, when u play spinning axe do you use CB's with ele phials or impact phials

Based on speedruns using spinning slash, impact phial is always better(from what ive seen) because getting KOs is just that good, that the additional damage from element phails just doesnt keep up.

@@RESUHT In Rise yes Impacts are better than Elemental regardless of matchup but in Sunbreak Elemental Phials do a lot more damage than Impact phials where the damage done while the monster is KO'd doesn't outdamage Elemental Phials if the monster has good HZVs for elements. I believe the only good matchups for Impact Phials rn is Garangolm and Espinas because of their low elemental HZVs but I may be wrong on that one. Edit: Yes this is for the pizza cutter not just for SAED
