Monster Hunter: Beating EVERY PS2 Game #15

Ойындар

Whoa, let's do the monster mash! I beat Monster Hunter for the PS2 in my quest to beat every game for the console. Can I stomach the old style of Monster Hunter games? Just barely.

it's extremely frustrating to play yet still very enjoyable and rewarding. such as rathalos sleeping in the volcano area and you literally can't reach him unless you have something to throw at him and he's going to regain a good portion of his health back, or the infinite spawning bullfangos/vespoids and the terrible visibility in the jungle.

Haha no doubt, if I was spending more time to play as well as trying to play online I would find it more enjoyable

also i think the orignal/freedom 1 feel the most like hunting monsters. there aren't any over the top combos or moves, and you really need to prepare for every single hunt by making sure to hunt the aptonoth for the steaks. go around collecting honey, resources etc. You also really need to work for gear because it's much more expensive and requires much more materials/materials being much more rare in general. i would do anything for a monster hunter remaster including freedom1, unite and 3U all brought up to 240FPS, 4K and functioning online. freedom 1 is the expanded version of MH1, and it includes a bunch of variants, new monsters and also all the online quests are available to do offline meaning you can fight fatalis, ashen lao, and crimson fatalis.

For sure, this game feels like a literal hunt and gather game that rewards persistence and patience. I do find myself enjoying the more arcade feel of the new ones, but I’ll never forget how hard freedom unite was. I would love for a remaster/remake, although the two things I would want fixed is the AI and the hit boxes, but everything else needs to stay the same!

Thanks! Yeah, the combination of holidays and a longer game (monster Hunter) threw off my flow but, I’ve got a lot of shorter games to catch back up with! Thanks for coming back, and for the kind words

You know this challenge would be a lot more feasible and still sound impressive if you beat like 3,000 games that are not 300-hour long JRPGs😂

Since playing Monster Hunter Rise, I couldn't see going back and trying to play this early game in the series! This seemed like a frustrating experience that, thankfully, they have fixed in the newest itteration of Monster Hunter! I salute you for making it through this monstrosity (pun intended)!

I tried playing a couple monster hunter games and they were beyond my skill range by a long shot. I'm more of a kao kangaroo, or tak and the great juju challenge.

Early monster Hunter feels like an acquired taste for sure, it’s a pretty unique style and difficulty. I didn’t like the series as much as I do now until Generations Ultimate came out on the switch and it finally started to click for me. And now I’m excited to play those two games you mentioned!

@@PS2orDie kao just got a remaster, my only hope is that the tak games will be released on new platforms someday. But its an old abandoned nickelodeon property so it will probably stay on the ps2 forever.
